COLORING, WATER PAINTING, EMBOSSING

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have another coloring piece for you.  This time I have just completed the piece, not the total card.  Still thinking about what I want to do with the card itself.

I used a retired set called BEST THOUGHTS.  I love the beautiful BIG flower in this set, as well as the butterfly and two sentiments.  Notice I did a background water wash with a light blue tint.

First I stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail EP.  I used Spectrum Noir markers.  I also used Sweet Sugarplum marker from SU.  The purple-ish dots on the stamens are actually Dazzling Details droplets - just a glittery shine with dimension.  They don't show very well in a photo, but they look wonderful in person on this art piece.

Thanks for stopping by to see more coloring.

COLORING SPRING FLOWERS FOR A CARD TODAY

HEY BLOGGIES,

I tried a new technique with my coloring today.  I colored AROUND the main image to make it stand out, leaving the main image white!!  And guess what...I think it worked very well!!

I tried so very hard to catch the Wink of Stella sparkle in my photos and finally caught it in this last photo!!

Thanks for visiting!!  Come visit again, ok?

MORE COLORING

HEY BLOGGIES,

I am sorry I have not posted every single day like I planned.  All I can say is that LIFE got in the way.  I have a 24 hr stomach bug,  I had some church things I needed to complete. And to be truthful, a few days I just didn't want to color!!  LOL  There I said it and it is the truth.  I didn't feel very crafty nor creative so I waited until I did feel like it.

Here is some coloring I did on a retired piece of designer paper called Park Lane by Stampin' Up!  It is printed in a light green color and I used an aqua painter and markers to color.  Also some Wink of Stella and some glitter pens.

I colored with markers and an aqua pen and then added some wink of stella and glitter pens, especially in the middle.

I used raspberry ripple for the color behind the art piece to bring out one of the darker pinks in the rose.  In real life, it really makes the rose pop.

Another photo of my finished card.  I only colored a few green leaves near the rose and left the rest.
Haven't decided what sentiment I want to add.  I will do that when it is time to use the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  See other's entries by clicking on my button on the top right side about THE 30 Day Color Challenge.

COLORING CHALLENGE 2

HEY BLOGGIES,

I don't get much of a chance on the weekends to do my crafts.  There is too much work to do around the ranch that my hubby and I do together.

But today I have another coloring piece to share with you for The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge:

I not only colored this pretty flower, but I made it 3D by cutting apart three flowers and using pop ups to put it together for the 3D effect.

I made it into this very simple birthday card.  The banner is made from printed vellum and the dots that show up white are actually sparkling moon drops.  Had to put one to cover up an ink booboo and then had to add more to make it look right!!

I used markers, aqua pen and ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

MARCH IS 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE MONTH

HEY BLOGGIES,

I LOVE to color and if you are a card maker I am guessing YOU like to color too.

Kathy at THE DAILY MARKER holds a coloring challenge in March EVERY YEAR.  It is fun to do and post your artwork, as well as PRIZES she hands out!!

Here is my coloring for March 1st, DAY 1:

I used "Inside the Lines" coloring paper from Stampin' Up!  It is free until March 30th with a qualifying order.  I used many mediums on this card because I was experimenting with different techniques.  I used an Aqua Marker and inks; I used glimmer pens; I also used Wink of Stella; I used Stampin' Up! Markers; and I used Yasutomo Perfect Pearls Paints.  First time for me using the Paints and I really enjoyed using them.

Go on over to:
....and post YOUR coloring for each day this month.
