<br />
WHERE has the time gone?? Even though I have not posted most of this year, I have been very busy with my quilting class and sorting and organizing our donated fabric for quilts. We donated two lap quilts to veterans in our church. Both were a patriotic red, white and blue. Both gentlemen enjoyed them very much.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAH4ndfkhWWgRs42qGjzJwMHPvV1tAQzvbPTqRNr1mAJxWJmaRLCyCv__vyQDflZAy_7hmeonHht8ZhAkVZkZW7eLmdaRU6xPmwqSkdhruY4VQsYXxsf5t2myx95AnEOu8fRrRx0TcCs/s1600/made+with+my+RS+class+I+am+teaching.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="533" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAH4ndfkhWWgRs42qGjzJwMHPvV1tAQzvbPTqRNr1mAJxWJmaRLCyCv__vyQDflZAy_7hmeonHht8ZhAkVZkZW7eLmdaRU6xPmwqSkdhruY4VQsYXxsf5t2myx95AnEOu8fRrRx0TcCs/s400/made+with+my+RS+class+I+am+teaching.jpg" width="221" /></a></div>
This one I love because of the 3D effect, and that is what the veteran liked about it also. AND the fact that it is nice and long to cover his legs in the wheelchair if he is chilled.<br />

HEY BLOGGIES,<br />
<br />
It has been so long since I posted that I am wondering if anyone will even read this post. Anyone out there in the blog world??<br />
<br />
I wanted to post some of the awesome quilts that our Quilting Ministry Sisters have been creating this year. Some are already donated, but the vast majority of them are being stored for a Christmas donation.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig9oUIb7L_sI7r9qqC0m4mk9IL4o8UZ3dooWYwCK4u7U9LUuEIvSKgK0u3_r-LVAb6__-DRCLFrqVWSZNXd2XM8RdpeUeIAN8kDJPzcnwCJJ77lmx7PCgqUDSlApWRJlremKr07eDctzs/s1600/013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig9oUIb7L_sI7r9qqC0m4mk9IL4o8UZ3dooWYwCK4u7U9LUuEIvSKgK0u3_r-LVAb6__-DRCLFrqVWSZNXd2XM8RdpeUeIAN8kDJPzcnwCJJ77lmx7PCgqUDSlApWRJlremKr07eDctzs/s400/013.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
All of our fabrics have been donated to us. We then figure out what goes well with which fabric and which pattern, and then WE SEW.<br />
<br />

A lot of these ladies are first time quilters or sewists, so I have been teaching them some basic quilt patterns and then they make the blocks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCZhOp18ank7v1YOa8UM3A9cI0hSQfLuSAvGiyc9peld54N5xHe0H4zSW-HpUMWw8cmgp2FuBIoaQ-jdL2g_oI_-XqezZvVyZyYs2BKVYlQUpW-W8DWZBoJEuvJs0XcIAwNV92DwRqKm4/s1600/half+square+triangles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCZhOp18ank7v1YOa8UM3A9cI0hSQfLuSAvGiyc9peld54N5xHe0H4zSW-HpUMWw8cmgp2FuBIoaQ-jdL2g_oI_-XqezZvVyZyYs2BKVYlQUpW-W8DWZBoJEuvJs0XcIAwNV92DwRqKm4/s320/half+square+triangles.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
We all learned how to make half square triangles and then put them all together to make one big quilt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcFIU9j_usXi-ls9ALF-3YkFfXpOnX-mVWEuG_2mX-wznATWyblL_6JnXZutaf1BF_X8vGThGUj5lshkFnHy2P9qMF9EYjBeNV5zNcQwnonEUg9deRLWMI5mP8PJOj8pl8WM2AwWcdl6Y/s1600/jeannette+taylors+quilt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcFIU9j_usXi-ls9ALF-3YkFfXpOnX-mVWEuG_2mX-wznATWyblL_6JnXZutaf1BF_X8vGThGUj5lshkFnHy2P9qMF9EYjBeNV5zNcQwnonEUg9deRLWMI5mP8PJOj8pl8WM2AwWcdl6Y/s400/jeannette+taylors+quilt.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
Then we all chose our favorite baby prints from the donated fabric and did star baby quilts. This one is dinosaurs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWT6hVGGsgBW1gicriiQRdBCLqn0UbBlCbaQJDnLEhp4b9w9UA7VSvv8wRyvcce0z4S0bjJKYyB980kf0ZjsDRBwlj-Sqh4RfhDZdEUHUaejX1zS4m5DVPBBhXARF1GBh1XMRPDCeN290/s1600/trains+by+debbie+ball.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="714" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWT6hVGGsgBW1gicriiQRdBCLqn0UbBlCbaQJDnLEhp4b9w9UA7VSvv8wRyvcce0z4S0bjJKYyB980kf0ZjsDRBwlj-Sqh4RfhDZdEUHUaejX1zS4m5DVPBBhXARF1GBh1XMRPDCeN290/s320/trains+by+debbie+ball.jpg" width="238" /></a></div>
This one is two different trains patterns used to make this star pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglXYP8I7-5L-quBXO_RZmQsxBtUc3bwBf-cwp7M5uqU71HQ-z_dE-R1MGzoV_uqHMEjPYT4gHqXPUBrvgBGNa5mi2M592MOGQwMteS9ueWP-SX_kj0CpM9SPx7QUzrAgFslQ2ypm9OZN0/s1600/two+quilts+from+last+month.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglXYP8I7-5L-quBXO_RZmQsxBtUc3bwBf-cwp7M5uqU71HQ-z_dE-R1MGzoV_uqHMEjPYT4gHqXPUBrvgBGNa5mi2M592MOGQwMteS9ueWP-SX_kj0CpM9SPx7QUzrAgFslQ2ypm9OZN0/s400/two+quilts+from+last+month.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
These were from our first several classes, learning to sew pieces together in straight lines. I loved the one on the right because it has a great 3-D quality.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8DslrlQTNUGDwZq2FqiCX-kR30T7iTCQkaYFG1MpvoO_AdDTeow_6oYslODGZ95JBok-o1hf2m8U-_rxhYlA8t6gjY61piy0lsWeTFdS89DtUD6BEKCngmk-okvQ_l4nUZlKqnd9tmw0/s1600/Wylene.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8DslrlQTNUGDwZq2FqiCX-kR30T7iTCQkaYFG1MpvoO_AdDTeow_6oYslODGZ95JBok-o1hf2m8U-_rxhYlA8t6gjY61piy0lsWeTFdS89DtUD6BEKCngmk-okvQ_l4nUZlKqnd9tmw0/s320/Wylene.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
This one got a little mixed up when she was sewing the squares together, so instead of a star quilt, it is a scrappy baby quilt. <br />
<br />
Stay tuned and there will be more quilts posted as they get finished.<br />

HEY BLOGGIES,<br />
<br />
I have been holding beginning quilting classes for ladies in my church and together we are making some charity quilts.<br />
<br />
The first meeting I made sure they all knew the difference between ironing and pressing. Then we cut 2 1/2" strips and started making rail fence blocks. Got a lot done and also some took them home to sew together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitwMc-gworut7kgx4pDzspIbHl_HzMxH9Eqe8WMff0AlRHgpW3caoQDhNHFHDzIwLmrjpVKyaNCBN40jg17Rm0aAkzw7lOy2VXg_zZifYpUCj9jAnY7LZ_vgxEeHbnaWEJlFITtMOUJbQ/s1600/charity+rail+fence.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitwMc-gworut7kgx4pDzspIbHl_HzMxH9Eqe8WMff0AlRHgpW3caoQDhNHFHDzIwLmrjpVKyaNCBN40jg17Rm0aAkzw7lOy2VXg_zZifYpUCj9jAnY7LZ_vgxEeHbnaWEJlFITtMOUJbQ/s400/charity+rail+fence.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
Here are the long strips at the top and bottom, and the first ones cut into blocks. We are having such a fun time meeting, talking, laughing, and getting a little bit of sewing done!!<br />

<br />
It seems that my 9 year hobby of paper crafting has run out of steam for now. So after many months of wondering what my next hobby focus will be, I decided to start making CHARITY QUILTS again.<br />
<br />
If you look at the top of this website, you will see I have been making them off and on for several years. And now I have the quilt bug again and am starting a monthly get together for friends to come over and we will teach those who are new to quilting OR sewing as well as feature a block each month.<br />
<br />
After each month we will turn in our blocks and will make quilts for CHARITY.<br />
<br />
Stay tuned for what happens next week in our group.<br />
<br />
BYE FOR NOW.<br />

<br />
So sorry I have not been posting anything lately. VERY VERY busy with spring chores here on the ranch. I cleared, raked, disked and planted our new 1 1/2 acre field for the horses. That was a monumental achievement for sure.<br />
<br />
My friend, Dee and I made some cards today. Here is a fun flip-it card we made.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The Flip-Its Die for the card base, and the layers is from Stamps of Life. The flower/swirl on the circle is from The Swirly Birds Bundle, Stampin up.<br />

You can see on the inside I put the sentiment and some additional leaves. The sentiment is from retired SU stamp set Lovely Amazing You. The DSP is also retired from SU.<br />

One more look. Oh, I used Sweet Sugarplum for the base color and Powder Pink, the new In-Color from Stampin Up.<br />

<br />
I have another coloring piece for you. This time I have just completed the piece, not the total card. Still thinking about what I want to do with the card itself.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirP5qgdb9WrCW4IaHKYqvSrqvJs1-wu6Jiu0fczbKL3aQ8p-qOmJtalatEqrhQhSlxjU79BgOM17N7iEvJCCHAV-obLOnX8JrZbcggvz21Lb1OaFTVf8cWU1h-E2NgUFfhCWju4aUDknU/s1600/IMAG0355.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirP5qgdb9WrCW4IaHKYqvSrqvJs1-wu6Jiu0fczbKL3aQ8p-qOmJtalatEqrhQhSlxjU79BgOM17N7iEvJCCHAV-obLOnX8JrZbcggvz21Lb1OaFTVf8cWU1h-E2NgUFfhCWju4aUDknU/s400/IMAG0355.jpg" width="347" /></a></div>
I used a retired set called BEST THOUGHTS. I love the beautiful BIG flower in this set, as well as the butterfly and two sentiments. Notice I did a background water wash with a light blue tint.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinmwU9TaBCGmgmb1uoGpDYkD7Qd8Aa95EqMWpLVlJkegDnxOGZW-GNebAePQE2f_qzzi9I_lXtq4pwUCWYBOiu0ILR56wNhxEt18RbsALhOAve38YqCxsM3rW_82e7N1fFr_Ai982-Qd8/s1600/IMAG0356.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="303" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinmwU9TaBCGmgmb1uoGpDYkD7Qd8Aa95EqMWpLVlJkegDnxOGZW-GNebAePQE2f_qzzi9I_lXtq4pwUCWYBOiu0ILR56wNhxEt18RbsALhOAve38YqCxsM3rW_82e7N1fFr_Ai982-Qd8/s320/IMAG0356.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
First I stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail EP. I used Spectrum Noir markers. I also used Sweet Sugarplum marker from SU. The purple-ish dots on the stamens are actually Dazzling Details droplets - just a glittery shine with dimension. They don't show very well in a photo, but they look wonderful in person on this art piece.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I am sorry I have not posted every single day like I planned. All I can say is that LIFE got in the way. I have a 24 hr stomach bug, I had some church things I needed to complete. And to be truthful, a few days I just didn't want to color!! LOL There I said it and it is the truth. I didn't feel very crafty nor creative so I waited until I did feel like it.<br />
<br />
Here is some coloring I did on a retired piece of designer paper called Park Lane by Stampin' Up! It is printed in a light green color and I used an aqua painter and markers to color. Also some Wink of Stella and some glitter pens.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1ojI8zmQ1AI2bCvyV14Pf9gOQ3uDGtnHQ3ZkTWZGK1dW-JGV0E3yMu3jAwBoEYXw4EkjHka8UJQOP-sa_G85D4oEiNHw4n3u6E3Tfjg5-p-5IJxSZ60I1aoI9fLPNB5Qr8YgBL-Rqzxk/s1600/IMAG0316.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1ojI8zmQ1AI2bCvyV14Pf9gOQ3uDGtnHQ3ZkTWZGK1dW-JGV0E3yMu3jAwBoEYXw4EkjHka8UJQOP-sa_G85D4oEiNHw4n3u6E3Tfjg5-p-5IJxSZ60I1aoI9fLPNB5Qr8YgBL-Rqzxk/s320/IMAG0316.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I colored with markers and an aqua pen and then added some wink of stella and glitter pens, especially in the middle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuFfW0Bwq2UypQRZvvsD37kxJ76M_vNCXuURkEscsSbXrxgYHJjFBJD-VPw0PvYm2e731YrN4J9I2_H3orP3NWCMeHSdD9PtnM64-h-MV-G02G46GanWeL_QSNYJY8aygDLWg0ubnDSG0/s1600/IMAG0321.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuFfW0Bwq2UypQRZvvsD37kxJ76M_vNCXuURkEscsSbXrxgYHJjFBJD-VPw0PvYm2e731YrN4J9I2_H3orP3NWCMeHSdD9PtnM64-h-MV-G02G46GanWeL_QSNYJY8aygDLWg0ubnDSG0/s320/IMAG0321.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I used raspberry ripple for the color behind the art piece to bring out one of the darker pinks in the rose. In real life, it really makes the rose pop.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAVSBtAXzNmKiZAmHpuieEg3KP7opJIWujwiYwOlKUDqFA9Se8_gkXnz_x-iPj0712r3eZkpQz29FUIMlmY3TuSChrBjCkcCDm8t-lemAedxPMCRYzWGZodiWHgC79CQa3Xs4DPgRuHLM/s1600/IMAG0322.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAVSBtAXzNmKiZAmHpuieEg3KP7opJIWujwiYwOlKUDqFA9Se8_gkXnz_x-iPj0712r3eZkpQz29FUIMlmY3TuSChrBjCkcCDm8t-lemAedxPMCRYzWGZodiWHgC79CQa3Xs4DPgRuHLM/s320/IMAG0322.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Another photo of my finished card. I only colored a few green leaves near the rose and left the rest.<br />
Haven't decided what sentiment I want to add. I will do that when it is time to use the card.<br />
<br />

<br />
I don't get much of a chance on the weekends to do my crafts. There is too much work to do around the ranch that my hubby and I do together.<br />
<br />
But today I have another coloring piece to share with you for The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN0XRJfYt1O1H5fx0tEHngFmZOvJQggUAf2W_Gcw68YLKDQixtTeLZT0sbMNTv680WAenvRaJAhMtmYskJZh-Xw16D1jyFq2LTqRMgdbYmH1eAaXaeVI1Mc6Bg8-V_SwcJwX3ACvx_-tY/s1600/IMAG0307_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN0XRJfYt1O1H5fx0tEHngFmZOvJQggUAf2W_Gcw68YLKDQixtTeLZT0sbMNTv680WAenvRaJAhMtmYskJZh-Xw16D1jyFq2LTqRMgdbYmH1eAaXaeVI1Mc6Bg8-V_SwcJwX3ACvx_-tY/s1600/IMAG0307_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN0XRJfYt1O1H5fx0tEHngFmZOvJQggUAf2W_Gcw68YLKDQixtTeLZT0sbMNTv680WAenvRaJAhMtmYskJZh-Xw16D1jyFq2LTqRMgdbYmH1eAaXaeVI1Mc6Bg8-V_SwcJwX3ACvx_-tY/s400/IMAG0307_1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I not only colored this pretty flower, but I made it 3D by cutting apart three flowers and using pop ups to put it together for the 3D effect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNAUeAQT-OyBGE6dvUK-BfNQsyyi_IZ9qrYQQ-guY0ohSEgc87N7S-JgM80hb43KgJB-Kf_D9ixFOmkwpsAv_bgXtg-1amUkkxKmAGcB2yhzmVswIVbgIRFwJ1NPlkZ047JDvQ2cOUkiA/s1600/IMAG0303.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNAUeAQT-OyBGE6dvUK-BfNQsyyi_IZ9qrYQQ-guY0ohSEgc87N7S-JgM80hb43KgJB-Kf_D9ixFOmkwpsAv_bgXtg-1amUkkxKmAGcB2yhzmVswIVbgIRFwJ1NPlkZ047JDvQ2cOUkiA/s400/IMAG0303.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made it into this very simple birthday card. The banner is made from printed vellum and the dots that show up white are actually sparkling moon drops. Had to put one to cover up an ink booboo and then had to add more to make it look right!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used markers, aqua pen and ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by.</div>

<br />
I used "Inside the Lines" coloring paper from Stampin' Up! It is free until March 30th with a qualifying order. I used many mediums on this card because I was experimenting with different techniques. I used an Aqua Marker and inks; I used glimmer pens; I also used Wink of Stella; I used Stampin' Up! Markers; and I used Yasutomo Perfect Pearls Paints. First time for me using the Paints and I really enjoyed using them.<br />
<br />

<br />
I am LOVING this Dragonfly bundle from Stampin' Up! Here is a look at what I created FIRST, and then built the card around it:<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut out the white cardstock and the Pink Glimmer Paper with the two dies from the Dragonfly Bundle. Then I used Markers in Daffodil Yellow, Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky. to color in the openings on the wings. Doesn't it look amazing?? I am loving this stained glass effect. Look below for my card I made around this amazing ART PIECE:</div>

Again, like yesterday, I used Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride cardstock, as well as the SAB FREE designer paper called Outside the Lines. I cut it up and lightly colored parts of it with my chalk markers. I am LOVING this card!!! Oh, I also put some Wink of Stella clear on the centers of all the flower on my cards this week. <br />
<br />
See that little glossy glue spot near the Dragonfly's head?? Well, I removed it with my SU gum eraser and VOILA, good as new!!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8MV9ecbkDKbXP_GNsBmK4vG8pXL0SpT404_PApPIyP0q4B2CXGHNNMyrHcRSAXrMU17m0YDrwUI01qBKPq6v1Yp7e037Zx04wpYEOH2eZS5jRGejcbUyhAOKQ-WeStHAgqeuXvB7I8YQ/s1600/IMAG0244.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8MV9ecbkDKbXP_GNsBmK4vG8pXL0SpT404_PApPIyP0q4B2CXGHNNMyrHcRSAXrMU17m0YDrwUI01qBKPq6v1Yp7e037Zx04wpYEOH2eZS5jRGejcbUyhAOKQ-WeStHAgqeuXvB7I8YQ/s400/IMAG0244.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>

Same idea as the pink card above, but I used Bermuda Bay and some chalk markers for minimal coloring of the Outside the Lines SAB FREE designer paper, with Brushed Silver Cardstock for the die cut.<br />
<br />
Come back this weekend to see the "Piece de Resistance" of the cards I have made this week.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by!!<br />

<br />
I have some card sthat I would like to share with you. Some call this a nautilus shell, others call it an ammonite. Whatever you call it, I hope you enjoy seeing my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmyeE0IpvmfMy7TyOGDaDt-GXdIARmnY1fLU9WiOqUbfPeNJ189-tz0MK4jju5dLZI0yL-jpD2TTt7jNBFXDCv8GH5tNdJxLaBy6_qzso0Hyf35QINrDga4Y4uhOttIZWdcwI9lwfeq8A/s1600/IMAG0232_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmyeE0IpvmfMy7TyOGDaDt-GXdIARmnY1fLU9WiOqUbfPeNJ189-tz0MK4jju5dLZI0yL-jpD2TTt7jNBFXDCv8GH5tNdJxLaBy6_qzso0Hyf35QINrDga4Y4uhOttIZWdcwI9lwfeq8A/s400/IMAG0232_1.jpg" width="223" /></a></div>
First on all my backgrounds, I used different color cardstock and applied ink pad direct to wet cardstock to make this effect. After it is completely dry, I stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirYvbfWbQskcSR0mgiioI1R7klVrtD19uDMHNpW-NVYrKiEoNQS28P4G4U5N-aQygUZ0HQBb4iVh03mZ_vJSZiu1NNXBd2woSrbCy5iGOusl5iW71WAsDoN0BrQciwtV4vZA-YOTSgZvo/s1600/IMAG0233_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirYvbfWbQskcSR0mgiioI1R7klVrtD19uDMHNpW-NVYrKiEoNQS28P4G4U5N-aQygUZ0HQBb4iVh03mZ_vJSZiu1NNXBd2woSrbCy5iGOusl5iW71WAsDoN0BrQciwtV4vZA-YOTSgZvo/s320/IMAG0233_1.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
The embossing powder is called Verdisgris. I think it is a beautiful color. It has several colors with it like copper that has tarnished.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ_KlX3xg7Yq6QWpf_-tNmozCUVdxQLQIonXAXOap2Wlabp776rgyoYMsHekG8ffUD5JXRLtUoe1o4AC3VF98hodqB-il3zQd9oxL3k8zBnG7ff1C6mngni5cEuX035ccnxUIirrUuYpQ/s1600/IMAG0234_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ_KlX3xg7Yq6QWpf_-tNmozCUVdxQLQIonXAXOap2Wlabp776rgyoYMsHekG8ffUD5JXRLtUoe1o4AC3VF98hodqB-il3zQd9oxL3k8zBnG7ff1C6mngni5cEuX035ccnxUIirrUuYpQ/s320/IMAG0234_1.jpg" width="263" /></a></div>
<br />
The ink pads I used were crumb cake, mint macaron, pool party and some little bit of turquoise.<br />
<br />
I used some thick kraft twine for the embellishment.<br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting my blog. <br />

<br />
Today I want to show you a set of blank cards I made for a friend of mine who loves German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) and is a foster and rescuer for them also. It is her birthday.<br />
<br />
I made this small set of blank cards for her to use any way she wants -- as thank you cards, thinking about you cards, happy birthday cards, etc. She gets to choose how to use them.<br />
<br />
I created the dog art with a water pen and inks. Then I layered them onto colored cardstock and VOILA!!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz0EtS41LA1pIhO7fc0EO5eJt1lCcfg4NZ7cls86ndh0XutCv7hmRjNe3TgAxQRf8JZnjRpXB8LbVlDKbQKpd0Io3Pd6uEbrPfi3xLL1NKweZH3U8aE5fK8CJoWlQdYg_hTsVhEaiFU9M/s1600/IMAG0171.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz0EtS41LA1pIhO7fc0EO5eJt1lCcfg4NZ7cls86ndh0XutCv7hmRjNe3TgAxQRf8JZnjRpXB8LbVlDKbQKpd0Io3Pd6uEbrPfi3xLL1NKweZH3U8aE5fK8CJoWlQdYg_hTsVhEaiFU9M/s400/IMAG0171.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Some I layered the watercolor paper onto the cardstock directly. On others I cut around the image and layered that onto the colored cardstock.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjge7G7vIPwo1T6o0vei4VEfI5e0YZMCopk3CzMsY_I5fxZGFq8MxafoHIWhK-AF7OdKF_wEl2vHkd3NbCm4S2-Nl0WQdNXHUvdgnmwYLuc8Cel1dTyo7hyphenhyphenwluYO1YTNAdRwseI73dYa8w/s1600/IMAG0166.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjge7G7vIPwo1T6o0vei4VEfI5e0YZMCopk3CzMsY_I5fxZGFq8MxafoHIWhK-AF7OdKF_wEl2vHkd3NbCm4S2-Nl0WQdNXHUvdgnmwYLuc8Cel1dTyo7hyphenhyphenwluYO1YTNAdRwseI73dYa8w/s320/IMAG0166.jpg" width="227" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I really like the contrast between the dark cardstock and the watercolor water when the image is fussy cut out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6apn-Mr9GdZc6Tc4Sy9kD8LaBl7ld12Toq-rErUKHdBdTKCysCAAEQfX37hcGfso9mi8JE60zE_hyO5VwTis8u7SU6rpob8eXc263bV2pRySsv0gYLMObQaIlZrx906jphbFd5NPBMu0/s1600/IMAG0169.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6apn-Mr9GdZc6Tc4Sy9kD8LaBl7ld12Toq-rErUKHdBdTKCysCAAEQfX37hcGfso9mi8JE60zE_hyO5VwTis8u7SU6rpob8eXc263bV2pRySsv0gYLMObQaIlZrx906jphbFd5NPBMu0/s320/IMAG0169.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
Each is a bit different since they are hand drawn. I think it is like dogs themselves...they look similar but each is an original. :-)<br />

<br />
The container for the cards is made from a 12 x 12 piece of designer paper that I folded into the size I needed. Then I added a ribbon to secure this little gift.<br />

<br />
In the spirit of Christmas, I want to tell you how important Christ is to me. I did not know Christ or Heavenly Father was actually real until I was 19 years old!! I always prayed to them, but never did I get any confirmation that they were there and listening. Never felt the Holy Ghost. Didn't even think I would feel anything.<br />
<br />
At age 19 I decided there had to be more about life and I was going to discover it. I searched for two years by attending different churches and by talking with just about everyone I met regarding their thoughts about God, Jesus Christ, higher powers, Holy Ghost, etc. TWO YEARS searching, studying and discussing and I had not found what I was looking for. Then one Sunday when I attended a new church from the list of all those in a wide area around me, I was approached by a member and we talked a little bit. Long story short, I joined this church at age 21 and have still continued to study, pray and learn about my Heavenly Father, my savior Jesus Christ and how I can have an eternal family.<br />
<br />
In this light, this week my husband's father passed away. We of course are very sad to be here without him now, but our knowledge in GOD, JESUS CHRIST and that families can be eternal is helping us cope with this loss, The knowledge that we can see him again brings peace in this time of sorrow.<br />
<br />
I want to tell you my thoughts on all of this: God, or Heavenly Father is REAL; He LIVES and loves each one of us. He listens to our prayers, when we cry out in anguish, when we are full of joy and tell him how grateful we are. He sent his only begotten son, JESUS CHRIST, at atone for all our sins, shortcomings, foibles, etc. so that we might come back to live with them again once we leave this earth. We will be with them and with our families and will be so joyous and happy. The Hymn, JOY TO THE WORLD describes exactly what God sent to us when Jesus was born. He sent us the JOY that a Savior was now born and the graves will have to give up their dead so we can live for eternity with HIM and our loved ones.<br />
<br />
Thank you for reading through this. If you would like any other information about T<a href="http://mormon.org/" target="_blank">he Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints</a>, you can reply to this message or you can go to <a href="http://mormon.org/">Mormon.org</a> and learn more there.<br />
<br />
HAVE A MERRY, JOYFUL CHRISTMAS.<br />
