DOILY BACKGROUND STAMP MAKES A PRETTY CARD

As demonstrators, we get an ideas magazine every other month.  It gives us suggestions for cards, make and takes for workshops and special ideas.  This card was in our current magazine except I changed it up a bit because of missing product:

The images are stamped in Gumball Green Ink on Gumball Green cardstock.  The circle in the middle of the main doily is crumb cake with the sentiment stamped in Gumball Green.  The magazine suggested we cut out the middle of the doily with the circles framelits, but I only have the circles die and it wouldn't work.  So I improvided with cutting out the circle in crumb cake card stock and adhering it to the doily.

This is a close up of the front sentiment from the vintage stamp set "Three Little Words".  I LOVE this set and will continue to use it.  I added the rhinestone jewels myself because I am giving this card to my niece.  She has had a VERY hard year so far.  She lost her husband a few months ago and is still grieving and healing from this horrific loss.  They had only been married for 11 years and were still in the honeymoon phase of their marriage.

Happy Birthday wishes is from the Simply Sketched stamp set.  I added a crystal button with a rhinestone in the middle for some more bling.

One more look at the Simple but BEAUTIFUL birthday card for my niece.

I never would have chosen green for this card had I not seen it in our magazine.  I really like it and with the crumb cake, it is a very nice color combo.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
