GLITTER QUEEN BLOG HOP - DAY ONE

THANKS so much for hopping with us on our three day "WISHING FOR SPRING" BLOG HOP.  Our leader, DAWN GRIFFITH, is starting our hop each day.  We are all linked into a circle so if you hop in the middle, no problem, just go to the next one from the NEXT button at the bottom and you will get to see us all.

Today I decided to use a set that has been one of my favorites for quite some time.  It is in our big Annual Catalog and is called KINDA ECLECTIC.  Maybe that is what I can use to describe myself - kinda eclectic.  No special style but a whole bunch of a lot of styles.  ha ha

Kinda Eclectic Clear-Mount Stamp Set  item #135350  Price:  $19.95 Here is my first card I made with this set.  Hope you enjoy it: I love the polka dot background stamp.   I am using it in a lot of my cards, not just the cards where I use the rest of this set.  It is a great versatile stamp. I took this sideways photo so you could see I punched out a second stamped image of the middle area.  I just wanted to give it that dimension.  Then I die cut in black the word THANKS and added that on top of the punched out middle.  I added stampin' dimensionals behind the other part of the word so it all sticks up. One more look at my card.  Sorry the flash made the white card stock look yellow. Thanks for stopping by. DIE CUT THANK YOU CARDS

I have been making some cards from this month's PAPER PUMPKIN CARD KIT.  I have cut things up, added card stock and generally changed them to be a bit different than the instructions call for.  You know me if you have visited me at all - I love to change things up and make them ...well...ME or MINE!!

The kit had a complete scored card of the striped designer paper, but I cut it to be a layer on top of the card stock strawberry slush card base with first a layer of mellow moss card stock then the striped layer.   The die cut "THANKS" is the top layer, where I adhered some 1/4" pieces of paper stripes.  Then I punched two small scalloped circles to make a flower with a small dot in the center of the flower.

I then used the dot stamp with strawberry slush stamped three times without reinking, then the mellow moss ink the same way.

DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD CARD = FUN

My upline, Dawn G., showed us how to create this fun DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD CARD and I immediately made one and L.O.V.E it.  It is so fun!!  Thanks Dawn!!

 Isn't this DSP pretty with the strawberry slush and coastal cabana card stock?  I love it!!  So the top flap has the diamond adhered to it and it flips up before you open the two sides.

 Here the two sides are open but the top flap is closed down,
