The Open Sea, card #2 - ANCHORS A WEIGH

How did you like my card from yesterday?  If you missed it, please continue on below after this post to see it.  I am showing cards this week made with "The Open Sea" stamp set.  It can help you get a jump start on Father's Day coming up in June.

The stamp set is carrying on through our new catalog at the end of this month.  YIPPEE because I LOVE this stamp set!!

Isn't this a fun masculine card?  But of course it can be used for anyone.  And I sneaked in the sentiment from 'OH HELLO' stamp set from the Spring catalog which is also carrying over into the new 2013-14 catalog.  Now we can enjoy it for another whole year!!

I have always loved grommets and was sad when SU stopped selling them.  These were from the clearance rack a few months ago.  I used the 1/2 inch hole punch to make the holes for these big boys.  I punched a small hole in the stamped anchor  and pulled the bakers twine through it and then adhered the tail of the twine down the stamped image so it blends in with the image.  COOL, huh?

A final look at a fun and fairly easy card to make. The background is stamped images from the set. I saw this idea on the web at mystamplady.com.  Thanks so much for the idea.

Here are the stamps included in this wonderful set.  In clear it is only $18.95.  If you choose to have this class kit mailed to you, it is included with the price of the kit. The kit with all the layers pre-cut and the stamp set is yours for only $30.00.

  2. Great card! This is a perfect set for a masculine card (which I always find difficult). I really like the background you created, plus the baker's twine and grommets. Thanks for joining this week's LNS Challenge.
