FALL LEAVES AND ADORNMENTS

HEY BLOGGIES,

HAPPY FALL!!  The Fall Equinox was this week and immediately we got some lovely cooler weather here in Texas.  Fall is my absolutely favorite time of year here in Texas because the humidity gets less and the weather gets a bit cooler.  LOVE IT.

So today I have a card for y'all about fall.  Hope you enjoy it!!!

Even the card base and layer are in wonderful fall colors - mossy meadow and old olive - very fallish greens I think.  I used the Fall Fest and the For All Things stamp sets and the dies that match.  Don't you LOVE having dies that match your stamp sets?  I certainly do!!  I used the idea of the card From fellow demo Connie Babbert and changed up the colors and other things.  Thanks Connie!

I used the COLOR ME AUTUMN designer paper for the background banner and for two of the oak leaves.  I used crushed curry, cajun craze, and old olive card stock for the leaves.  I used Gorgeous Grunge stamp set splatter stamp here and there on the tag and on the leaves.

The linen thread was wound around three times and tied in the middle with a Wooden Fall Element on top.  As a little LAGNAPPE (something unexpected), I put a silver leaf charm hanging off the end of the linen thread.  VOILA - perfection!!

One more look at the complete card.  The tag was made with the Apothecary Label die and cut off the half circle part on the bottom to make it look like a tag.

This is for my SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY card this week.  Won't you pop over and see what my team mates created with the sketch this week?

Thanks for visiting me and my blog.  Stay tuned and I will tell you about the amazing place I visited this week in BURLESON, TX.  It was an awesome 2 day trip and I think you will enjoy the story.
