FOR ALL THINGS - MY FIRST FALL CARD OF THE YEAR

HEY BLOGGIES, Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I am so ready for FALL - but here in central/east Texas it is still hot and humid summer.  However, I did NOT let that stop me from making my first fall card of the year with my NEW stamp set 'FOR ALL THINGS':

I am LOVING the new in colors for our fall cards!!  Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist are such rich beautiful colors.  I used Hello Honey for my card base and crumb cake behind my leaves and for my word piece with the scalloped edge.

Here is a closeup of my three leaves stacked on top of each other.  I used several colors to give some more realistic fall colors.

The THANKFUL thinlit is from last year's Holiday Catalog and I am still loving it.  I didn't get to use it enough last year.  I used the "negative space" from the die cut and backed it with a watercolor printed piece of dsp from the new COLOR ME AUTUMN DSP.  I carefully added the little pieces back onto the work to fill in the loops, etc.  I added a cute little linen thread bow above the "K" in THANKFUL (also my last name is KAY, so it was a fun place to put the bow). :-)

I used the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY DESIGN that I personally created for this week's challenge.
Won't you stop over at SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY and see what the other team members created for your inspiration?  We would LOVE to see what YOU can create with this sketch as well!!

UPDATE:  I decided there was something missing on the above card I created, so I created another one with a bit more WOW.  Here is the card remade:
I restamped the leaves and then added some splatters with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp.  I also added three candy dots on the Thankful panel and put a piece of the DSP underneath the panel just offset of the crumb cake scallops.

What do you think with this changes?  Which card do you like best?  Both are nice but I had just felt like something was missing on the first card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Won't you leave me a comment please?
