Arts Mosaic card

At least that is why I THINK it is called.  I just got my things out and started creating and here is what I came up with.  IF you know a better name to call this technique, please let me know.  All I know is I HAD FUN:

 Here it is in all it's grungy goodness - my card for today.  I have been in the mood for crumb cake and cajun craze for a few days now and am still not done with it yet.  Oh yeah, also always artichoke too.

 See the little CANDY DOT I put on the crown?  LOVING THESE!!  Hope they start coming in a larger size also.  I used my MAGIC MESH from my old stash and swiped an ink pad across it to get some color.

 Then I used the OFF THE GRID stamp and ripped it out to the shape I wanted before I added to to my card.  The FOR YOU sentiment is from the Hostess set available in the HOLIDAY CATALOG starting August 1 with your hostess dollars if you have an order OR a workshop of $150 or more total.

I double stamped the key and the crown and put is slightly off so it looked like a shadow.  The antique brad brings it all together, don't you think?

HOT HOT JULY and A CLEAN AND SIMPLE MASCULINE CARD

OH MY!!  Every year I forget just how hot and humid east Texas can get until it happens  and it ALWAYS happens every year!!  It is too hot to do much more than fill the bird bath and run back inside.  really - I am not exaggerating at all.  100 degrees plus 85-90 humidity feels something like 118 they said on television.

Sooooo, time to be creative in side in the cool air conditioning, right?

 I was looking for something masculine and decided to do something clean and simple in some darker colors.  Here I used cajun craze, crumb cake and always artichoke.

 I used a horded item that I have had for probably 4-5 years called Magic Mesh.  It is self sticking.  I rubbed  crumb cake ink on the tallest piece and left the other ones the natural canvas color.  I used always artichoke woven ribbon and frayed the ends.

I stamped happy birthday in always artichoke onto news print and then backed it with always artichoke card stock and cut banner ends.  This is from the hostess set entitled Banner Labels.

MOJO 300 BANNER CARD

LIVE THE LIFE YOU'VE IMAGINED.  I love that sentiment and it is what I used on this card from the REALLY GOOD GREETINGS Stamp Set.

 The MOJO Monday challenge is a sketch challenge.  I am LOVING banners and flags so I was happy to see a large banner on the sketch.  It was interesting to use a banner, rectangle, square and circle but I think I aced it!!  The crumb cake square is behind the dark banner, and I stretched the circle into an oval but it's all good!!!

Midnight muse is such a beautiful blue.  The two DSPs I used coordinate very well with the crumb cake and the blue.

 I used crumb cake and baked brown sugar and the SIX SIDED SAMPLER stamp set to do some grunge stamping on the card base.  I love how it looks and these two browns are so nice together.

I liked the grunge stamping so much that I used one of the striped hexi stamps and did some work on the lighter designer paper.  It made it all fit together nicely, didn't it?  It was a bit too bright before I stamped some crumb cake on it.  A Big Shot cut primrose petals oval behind the sentiment banner and I was done.

HELLY DOILY CARD FOR BIRTHDAY

Black and white is a very elegant color combo. It is dramatic and clean and at the same time.  Here is my take on a black and white doily birthday card:

 I am loving the design and the colors of this card.  What do you think?  I saw one similar on the web but it had no name.

 Here is a closeup of the 4 layers popped up with stampin dimensionals. I AM LOVING PUNCHES.  LOTS AND LOTS OF DIFFERENT PUNCHES.  I USED 4 PUNCHES ON THIS CARD.

 This sentiment tag is done opposite of the doily - it is stamped on a black base and white embossing powder used.

Of course I had to put something inside, didn't I?

AHHH, JULY - FLOWERS, SWIMMING AND SUMMER

HAPPY JULY.  I am so looking forward to this week's activities - Patriotic free symphony at the Pavilion; Red, Hot and Blue Festival in Town Center, and the parade in the morning on July 4th.  fun times and fun memories of attending these events throughout the years.

Today I have a fun AND funny type of card - WONKY TRIPLE STAMPING CARD.  Yep, WONKY.  That is a work that my fellow demo Heather from Canada uses quite often and it perfectly describes this type of card.  Many have seen the triple stamping technique but this adds a twist - WONKINESS...

I turned the layers ASKEW and WONKY before I stamped on them to create this fun card.

 The stamp set is FABULOUS FLORETS and the beautiful monochromatic colors are:

wisteria wonder

perfect plum

elegant eggplant

with always artichoke for the leaves

 Aren't the colors simply YUMMY!!  To get this look, you put your layers on top of each other they way you want your wonkiness, then you stamp over them with each stamp.  Add your background layers and put it together.

 I LOVE this quote from E. E. Cummings.  I think of it each time I go outside to water my flowers.  I think there is laughter all over my property and it makes me VERY happy and I can't help but smile.
