CARD WITH SIMON SAYS STAMP SUPPLIES

HEY BLOGGIES,

Sorry it has been so long since I made a card and posted.  I have been busy doing all those “summer chores” you have to do on a small farm.  Plus I really enjoy spending as much time as I can with my Gypsy Horses.  They are such characters and very personable.  They LOVE to be with people and are so curious about every little thing I do.  I tell my hubby that we are lucky they don’t have thumbs because I think they would be driving my tractor!!

OK, I have a bright card I made using the Simon Says Stamp card kit “Look for the Miracles”.

In addition to the supplies supplied in the kit, I also used markers from Stampin' Up!, alcohol markers, gelato on the face of the sun, glimmer and glitter pens, and an aqua painter for the rose colored outline of the colored piece.

Here is a close up of the sentiment so you can see how I colored with shadows and highlights.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my creation.  I absolutely LOVE the background paper and all the papers included in this kit.

YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY

hey bloggies,

YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY is the perfect card for my hubby for our anniversary this week.  I used the splatter stamp from GORGEOUS GRUNGE by SU!  for the background and then the sunshine  rays behind the light bulb in crushed curry.  The light bulb was fussy cut and put on dimensionals, with the heart in the middle in melon mambo ink.

Made this larger so you could see the details of my card.

This is another card that was quick and easy card with the background and sentiment stamp from this set.  I stamped the background rays 4 times to make a circle and put the sentiment in the middle on some DSP and layered grey behind it.  I added some square sequins randomly around the card to finish off a clean and simpole card,.

I MISS YOU.......WATTS & WATTS

HEY BLOGGIES,

Another fun light bulb card to share with you today.

I had so much fun cutting the paper for the light rays from the light bulb.  The polka dots on black is one piece of paper.  The solid color rays are cut pieces  placed around the stamped and cut out bulb.

Candy dots were placed randomly around the card and in the middle of the heart on the bulb.

The banner is pupped up on dimensionals for added texture.

Here is the inside of the card finishing off the saying, "I Miss you...Watts & Watts".  That cracks me up!!  LOVE IT.  Some hearts finish off the inside.

I made this and sent it to my Grandkids in Utah.  They were here a few weeks ago to visit and I am really missing them.  I wanted them to know how much I love and miss them!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back again to see another card with this set.  I am having so much fun with this set WATTS UP  by SSS.

WATTS UP?

HEY BLOGGIES,

Today I have a different kind of entry for you - this is not a Stampin' Up! set that I used but I fell in love with this set when I saw it and just have been having the best fun using it!!

Isn't this light bulb just the cutest?!!  I am loving it and have made three or four cards with it this weekend.  Stay tuned for more postings this week using this stamp set and papers.

I used some generic sequins on this card to add some shine or bling which it just needed since it is a light bulb shining, right?  I love this striped paper and cut it to have the chevron part just a little bit off center.  I also made the main piece a little bit taller than the card for some visual effects.  I just basically thought it needed to look like this.  What do you think?

Here is a closeup of the banner popped up with dimensionals.  Another look I felt it needed and I love how it looks,.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back again to see some more cards with this stamp set.
