MY FIRST VALENTINE OF 2013

Even though I have been thinking about making valentines for several days now, this is the first one I actually made.  And now I have all sorts of ideas flowing to make other cards.  First, let me show you the one I made today.

I started with a base of Pink Pirouette, standard card size.  Then I added a layer of retired DSP and a cut out doiley from the DSP.  I used my Big Shot to cut out L-O-V-E from the red glimmer paper and the Owl Punch to punch out the small red heart inside the "O".

I used the NEW POP TOPS from the Spring Catalog and flattened it with my big shot.  Then I stamped the heart image from the new SPRING SAMPLER stamp set of 24 mini stamps, punched it out with the 1" circle punch and used crystal effects to glue it into the POP CAP.  I put crystal effects on the stamped heart for a shiney effect.  Oh, one last thing, a mini pink bow on the top left hand side.

Isn't it pretty?  I love how all the colors go together so well together.  Will you leave me a comment about this card or the elements I used for it?  I love to hear from you.

Here's to inky fingers y'all!!

CHRISTMAS CARD - MITTEN PUNCH

I LOVE ALL THINGS SMALL.  MINI TEACUPS, LITTLE DOGGIES, LITTLE PURSES, ETC.  SO THIS MITTEN PUNCH IS TOTALLY FOR ME!!  LOVE IT!!

AT MY CARD CLUB THIS MONTH WE MADE CHRISTMAS CARDS.  THIS FIRST ONE IS WHAT I CALL A STAIR STEP CARD.  YOU HAVE SEEN ME USE THIS SHAPE IN THE PAST FOR HALLOWEEN LAST YEAR.  IT IS A FUN AND EASY CARD SHAPE WITH A BIG WOW FACTOR.

DO YOU RECOGNIZE THE SHAPE OF THIS STAIR STEP CARD?

WE USED THE PETALS A PLENTY EMBOSSING FOLDER ON THE TWO SIDE STEPS.  IT LOOKS LIKE POINSETTIAS ON THIS CHERRY COBBLER CARD STOCK.  WE THEN USED THE LIQUID GLITTER (WHAT IS THIS CALLED?) FOR THE INSIDE OF THE FLOWERS HERE AND THERE. WE ALSO DOTTED THE "I" IN CHRISTMAS ON THE SENTIMENT.

I USED THE CUTE MITTEN PUNCH AND THE GLIMMER PAPER IN BOTH CHERRY COBBLER AND SILVER FOR THE MITTENS.  I USED RETIRED TINSEL RIBBON FROM LAST YEAR FOR THE CORD TO TIE THE TWO MITTENS TOGETHER.  LOVE THIS GLIMMER PAPER FOR THE MITTENS.

OLD OLIVE CARD STOCK AND CHERRY COBBLER INK FOR THE SENTIMENT N THE FRONT.  BEHIND IT IS A PIECE OF THE NEW DESIGNER PAPER STACK FOR CHRISTMAS.  I AM LOVING THE SIZE OF THIS PAPER PACK.

MORE CARDS TOMORROW FROM MY CARD CLUB.  HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS CARD.  IF YOU DECIDE TO CASE IT, PLEASE PROVIDE A LINK BACK TO MY BLOG.  THANKS.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE CREATIVE THIS WEEKEND?

KEEP SAFE Y'ALL WHERE EVER YOU LIVE.

TAGS, TAGS, TAGS

I have been "blurfing" (what I call blog surfing) and seeing so many fun and wonderful Christmas gift tags.  Got my mojo going for MY gift tag class next week.

This first one is from the framed oval die and my Big Shot.  I cut the outside edge from red glimmer paper and the inside from shimmer white card stock.  Then I stamped the chubby snowman and colored his boots with markers and put color on his scarf and hat with glue and the fine glitter stacks.  He is holding a string of mini bells from our Christmas mini catalog.  His snowball in his other hand has been touched with the fun little glitter accents (can't remember the exact name, so sorry) from the Christmas mini.

More tags tomorrow.  Can you make one with this same die and YOUR big shot to share with me?  I would LOVE to see it!!

Here's to Inky fingers and snowflakes in your hair!!
