CHRISTMAS TAGS FOR MY FAMILY--AN ART PIECE

HEY BLOGGIES,

I am starting a bit early, but I am working on MY personal Christmas tags and gift wrappings for MY FAMILY.  Because I am doing that, I can use whatever items I want to, right??  Soooo, there is a certain person in the crafting world that every year does the 12 tags of Christmas and I love his style.  I created this Christmas tag with some of his crafting items and his style.  Hope you enjoy seeing this ART PIECE.
There is a lot going on here, but it all adds up to an ART PIECE.  It all started with the kraft tag, then an embossing folder, then some gold encore ink, then some Snow Stuff.
The JOY is made with stickers, the blue is Distress paint, then a chipboard deer piece with distress paint and white shimmer and blue spritzing.  A doily spritzed and folder as well.
The three pine cones are made with recycled packing paper that I sponged all sorts of browns all over it, ripped into a circle and ripped into a spiral and glued back into a circle.  A small fake piece of pine bough is underneath the cones.  Also some more of the fake snow put on the pine cones and all over the tag.

Knitted cord in cherry cobbler from the clearance rack for the tag tie and VOILA - it is FINI.

I would love to hear what you think of my artful gift tag.

I am entering this at THE FRIDAY MASHUP.

SOME HOLIDAY GIFT TAGS

I JUST HAD A HANKERING TO PLAY WITH MY CUTE LITTLE SNOWMEN STAMPS.  HERE ARE SOME DARLING GIFT TAGS MADE WITH STAMPS, MY BIG SHOT AND THE TWO TAGS DIE, AND SOME PURCHASED CHIPBOARD LETTERS.

THIS IS THE TALLER OF THE SNOWMEN IS MY STAMP SET.  HE IS TALL LIKE MY HUBBY!!  I COLORED HIM WITH MY MARKERS THEN ADDED CRYSTAL EFFECTS ON ALL HIS COAL BUTTONS.  RIBBON, TWINE AND A BUTTON ACCENT THE TOP OF THE GIFT TAG.  HE HAS TWO BIRDS AS HIS FRIENDS. I ADDED MICRO BEADS WITH CRYSTAL EFFECTS ON THIS CHIPBOARD LETTER "B" FOR BRANDON.

I FEATURE THE TALLER OF THE SNOWMEN AGAIN ON THIS TAG, AGAIN USING A BUTTON AND SOME TWINE WITH THE POLKA DOT RIBBON.  C IS FOR COLLIN.

I LOVE THIS LITTLE CHUBBY SHORT GUY.  I USED FINE GLITTER ON HIS STOCKING CAP AND HIS SCARF.  ALSO SOME ON THE SNOWBALL HE IS GETTING READY TO THROW.  THE CHERRY COBBLER GLIMMER PAPER WAS DIE CUT WITH MY BIG SHOT AS THE SCALLOPED FRAME AROUND THIS CUTE SNOW SCENE.

D IS FOR DUANE.  ISN'T THE CARROT NOSE ON THIS GUY CUTE?  LOVE THE TWIG ARMS TOO.  MORE MUSTARD CARD STOCK USED ON THIS DIE CUT GIFT TAG.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.  I HAVE FINISHED UP THE QUILTS FOR KIDS WE WERE MAKING AS A NEW QUILT GUILD AT OUR CHURCH.  SO I AM TRYING TO WORK WITH MY STAMPS, INK AND CARD STOCK NOW.  I MISSED IT!!

CUTE LITTLE BOX OF THANK YOU CARDS

I HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS WEEKEND IN MY CRAFT ROOM.  I MADE THIS DARLING BOX OF 3 X 3 THANK YOU CARDS IN PEACH PARFAIT AND PEACH PARFAIT DSP. IT IS FOR THE FRIDAY MASHUP!  STOP ON OVER TO SEE THEM AND WHAT THEIR OTHER PARTICPANTS HAVE MADE.
Here is a top view of the box.  Made with card stock and covered with DSP.

I love how cute this 3 x 3 cards are.  Perfect size to attach to a home made goodie as a special "thank you" or "best friends" gift.

I would love to know what you think of this cute little gift of cards.  It was easy to make and I enjoyed the process.  I am giving this to my mystery "hostess" at my valentine's candy hearts class this week.  One lucky lady will be the HOSTESS of this class and receive the $25 of FREE merchandise.

TAGS, TAGS, TAGS

I have been "blurfing" (what I call blog surfing) and seeing so many fun and wonderful Christmas gift tags.  Got my mojo going for MY gift tag class next week.

This first one is from the framed oval die and my Big Shot.  I cut the outside edge from red glimmer paper and the inside from shimmer white card stock.  Then I stamped the chubby snowman and colored his boots with markers and put color on his scarf and hat with glue and the fine glitter stacks.  He is holding a string of mini bells from our Christmas mini catalog.  His snowball in his other hand has been touched with the fun little glitter accents (can't remember the exact name, so sorry) from the Christmas mini.

More tags tomorrow.  Can you make one with this same die and YOUR big shot to share with me?  I would LOVE to see it!!

Here's to Inky fingers and snowflakes in your hair!!
