SALE-A-BRATION WORKSHOP FUN

HEY BLOGGIES,

We had a workshop at Tammy's home last night and had a fun time making cards, visiting and sharing ideas.  With Sale-a-Bration right now, your friends WANT to get a free item, so why not invite them over to your home and let me bring supplies and have them made some fun cards?  You, as hostess, will earn extra hostess dollars to spend when you have a qualifying party.

Strawberry Slush and whisper white are the colors used in this fun card.  I got the idea from my manager Dawn G.  Thanks girlie!!  Everyone loved this card.

Banner Blast stamp set is a FREE item you can get when you place a minimum order of $50.  And we also used the Banner punch which is a FREE item as well.

Some baker's twine was wrapped around the card twice and then the banners attached.  The little heart is also in the Banner Blast stamp set.

I also used the Starburst Sayings stamp set and matching thinlits Dies for the sentiment "YOU MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE".  The stamp set and dies can be purchased in a bundle for 15% discount.

Everyone at the workshop LOVED the two Sale-a-Bration items we used on this card so much that they all got them both FOR FREE with their orders!!

A few smiling faces with their cards to prove how much fun this workshop was.  \

Contact me soon so I can schedule YOUR workshop as well.  I do long distance or VIRTUAL workshops as well - I send you everything you need for your attendees to make their cards at your own home and you send me their orders back by email.

Thanks for visiting.  Please stop by again soon.

WITH HEARTFELT SYMPATHY

I used the new hostess set from the upcoming catalog to make this simple sympathy card.  I don't think fussy works on any sympathy card so I kept it very clean.

I used retiring baja breeze card stock and stamped with versa mark ink and used pool party embossing powder on the stamped images.  The image itself is only one flower and the bud, but I stamped multiple times and on the bottom one did not ink up the bud and on the top one only inked up a portion of the bud to make it look like it was just forming.

The sentiment was embossed with early espresso embossing powder then punched out with the punch and layered being it with another layer.  The ribbon is also baja breeze 1/8" ribbon.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  First I used my blender pen and some vanilla craft ink to cover the flowers.  Then I used the aqua painter and some baja ink to shade and color in.  I used pear pizzazz for the stem and around the buds.

Hope you enjoyed this card.  This is one of the items you can choose to use your hostess dollars on when you have a workshop of at least $150, OR if you submit any orders of yours and friends that totals at least $150.  Contact me soon and let's talk about how you can earn this stamp set and many other items.

MAY WE ALL "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON"

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS WONDERFUL HOSTESS SET YET?  I AM SMITTEN WITH IT.  I HAD READ ABOUT THESE POSTERS THAT KING EDWARD FROM ENGLAND HAD PRINTED OUT TO ENCOURAGE THE BRITISH PEOPLE DURING WWII.  IT SPEAKS VOLUMES WITH JUST A FEW WORDS, I BELIEVE:  "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON."  I THINK THIS SHOWS HE WAS A VERY WISE KING INDEED.

THERE ARE MANY TIMES IN OUR LIVES THAT WE CANNOT CHANGE THE CIRCUMSTANCES WE ARE EXPERIENCING, BUT WE CAN STRIVE TO KEEP OUR INNER PEACE AND "CARRY ON".  RIGHT NOW THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE FLOODED HOMES FROM HURRICANE ISAAC AND THE FLOODING RAINS OF THE REMAINING TROPICAL PORTION OF THAT STORM ARE EXPERIENCING HARD TIMES.  THE ONLY THING THAT WILL HELP THEM IS TO KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON.  PART OF KEEPING MY INNER PEACE OR KEEPING CALM IS PRAYER.

I CREATED THIS CARD IN VERY VANILLA CARD STOCK WITH MIDNIGHT MUSE LAYERS.

I USED INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR DESIGNER SERIES PAPER FOR THE DECORATIVE LAYER BEHIND MY SENTIMENT.  I LOVE THE COLORS USED ON THIS DSP AND PLAYED IT UP WITH MY STAMPED CROWNS AND THE NARROW RIBBON.  NOTICE AN ADDITIONAL FOLDS OF RIBBON ON THE RIGHT SIDE UNDER THE FIRST CROWN?  I THINK THAT LITTLE EXTRA TOUCH REALLY MAKES THIS CARD SPECIAL.

THE CROWNS FROM THIS SAME STAMP SET ARE STAMPED WITH CAJUN CRAZE, SUMMER STARFRUIT AND LUCKY LIMEADE INKS.  THE CROWNS AND THE SENTIMENT ARE ATTACHED WITH STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS.

I HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED MY CARD.  I MADE SEVERAL OTHERS BEFORE I DECIDED I LIKED THIS LAYOUT THE BEST.  I SAW SOMETHING SIMILAR SEVERAL MONTHS AGO ON MARY FISH'S BLOG (HEY MARY!) BUT HAD TO CHANGE IT UP BECAUSE I AM NOT AS SEASONED A STAMPER AS MARY IS AND I COULD NOT MAKE IT WORK LIKE SHE DID.  SO THIS IS HER IDEA WITH MY CHANGES AND FLAIR.  HOPE YOU LIKE IT.

WON'T YOU LEAVE ME A COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW YOUR IDEAS ON THIS CARD?  I SO APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS.

HERE'S TO CREATIVITY Y'ALL!!

CUTE LITTLE BOX OF THANK YOU CARDS

I HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS WEEKEND IN MY CRAFT ROOM.  I MADE THIS DARLING BOX OF 3 X 3 THANK YOU CARDS IN PEACH PARFAIT AND PEACH PARFAIT DSP. IT IS FOR THE FRIDAY MASHUP!  STOP ON OVER TO SEE THEM AND WHAT THEIR OTHER PARTICPANTS HAVE MADE.
Here is a top view of the box.  Made with card stock and covered with DSP.

I love how cute this 3 x 3 cards are.  Perfect size to attach to a home made goodie as a special "thank you" or "best friends" gift.

I would love to know what you think of this cute little gift of cards.  It was easy to make and I enjoyed the process.  I am giving this to my mystery "hostess" at my valentine's candy hearts class this week.  One lucky lady will be the HOSTESS of this class and receive the $25 of FREE merchandise.

THIS STAMP SET IS THE MOST ADORABLE ONE I HAVE SEEN...

Oh my stars, this cute new hostess set in the Holiday Mini, entitled Warmest of Wishes (#122672) is so adorable.  Specifically the cute little owl with his/her trick-or-treat costume and bag.  It just tickles me every time I stamp it.  So here is a treat bag I am making for my "Ghoul's Night Out" event next week.  I have 12 attending so far and it is going to be a riot.  I have fun games, prizes and adorable cards and items to create.  Also yummy treats too.  Here is the treat bag for each attendee:
I got grape purple colored lunch bags at the store at a price of 4 for $1.00.  Perfect color to match our Concord Crush color in SU!  I stamped my little new friend, the Halloween Owl  with his little mask on and holding his bag in concord grape ink on white card stock and punched him out with the owl punch.  (Oops, forgot to tell you I wiped off his feet and used my pumpkin pie marker to color them BEFORE I stamped it.  Sorry)  Then I used the marker to color around the trick or treat bag and just stamped that on white cs and then cut it out with snips and put it on a dimensional so he is carrying an orange bag.  Colored in his beak after stamping with the pumpkin pie marker as well.
This close up you can see his treat bag and feet are pumpkin pie.  The large scallop circle is pumpkin pie and I sponged ink on the edge in Concord Crush as well.  Then I attached the owl to the scallop with a dimensional and used snail to attach the whole decoration to the lunch sack.  Isn't it adorable??!!  I am going to have jars of candies at the party and they can pick and choose what they want to take home with them for treats, and/or can carry their prizes home.

We are going to have a blast.  Can't wait.  I have been cutting out paper all day today to get my kits ready for them to put together.

Good night and here to inky fingers y'all!!

OPEN HOUSE FOR ALL MY LOCAL CUSTOMERS

I AM HAVING A FUN OPEN HOUSE AND NEW CATALOG PARTY FOR ALL MY LOCAL CUSTOMERS.  I HAVE MADE 3 FUN MAKE AND TAKES FOR THEM TO DO.

I CHOSE THIS PATRIOTIC CARD IN HONOR OF INDEPENDENCE DAY COMING UP.  I USED THE STAR DIE FOR MY BIG SHOT, BRIGHTS BRADS, THE RIBBON PUNCH AND LACED UP CHERRY COBBLER STRIPED BAKERS TWINE THROUGH THE HOLES.  INSIDE WE WILL STAMP THE FLAG A LA CART STAMP FROM THE SUMMER MINI.  NAVY, REAL RED AND DAFFODIL DELIGHT ARE THE CARD STOCK WITH SOME RETIRED BLUE FOR THE DIE CUT STARS.

THIS CARD IDEA ABOVE WAS TAKEN FROM THE ONLINE DEMO SITE FOR OUR STAMPIN DEMONSTRATORS MONTHLY MAGAZINE.  I CHANGED THE STAMP I USED TO THE NEW HOSTESS SET SIMPLY SOFT WHICH IS A 2-STEP STAMP ( I LOVE 2-STEP STAMPS), AS WELL AS THE FIVE NEW IN COLORS BEING INTRODUCED IN THIS NEW CATALOG.  I USED MY DOTTED SCALLOP PUNCH TO MAKE THOSE LAYERS ON THE RIGHT.  I USED EARLY ESPRESSO AND ONE PART OF MY STITCHING WHEEL WHICH I CUT APART TO MAKE INTO SEPARATE STAMPS.  THIS IS THE STITCHING ALL AROUND THE CARD EDGE.  LOOKS PRETTY REAL I THINK.  THEN I USED A CLEARANCE RACK CRUMB CAKE CORDOROY BUTTON WITH ESPRESSO STRIPED BAKERS TWINE TIED ON THE BUTTON.  I AM LETTING THEM CHOOSE THE SENTIMENT THEY WANT INSIDE THEIR CARD.

MADE A CUTE BOOKMARK WITH ALL FIVE OF THE NEW IN COLORS.  CALYPSO CORAL, WISTERIA WONDER, LUCKY LIMEADE, ISLAND INDIGO AND POOL PARTY.  USED THE  BUNDLE OF FLOWERS FROM THE LOAD OF FUN STAMP SET, AND THEN HAND LETTERED THE NAMES OF THE NEW COLORS WITH THE NEW MARKERS.  SPONGED THE EDGES WITH LUCKY LIMEADE AND STAPLED A BIT OF RIBBON AT THE TOP.  ON THE BACK IS ALL MY WEBSITE AND TELEPHONE INFO SO THEY CAN CONTACT ME WHEN THEY NEED SOMETHING.

I HAVE LOTS OF SAMPLES FOR THEM TO LOOK AT AND A WISHLIST FOR THEM TO FILL OUT AS THEY STUDY THE SUPPLES AND STAMP SETS I HAVE AVAILABLE AND AS THEY POUR OVER THE NEW CATALOG.  MY WISH LIST IS VERY VERY LONG!!

PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT TO TELL ME HOW YOU LIKE MY CARDS/MAKE AND TAKES.  I REALLY ENJOY HEARING FROM YOU.

INKY FINGERS Y'ALL.

HOUSTON, I HAVE PHOTOS....FINALLY!!

I'M BACK WITH MY PHOTO PROBLEMS SOLVED!!  Thanks for your patience with me as I figured out how to solve my technical issues.

I have so many photos that I will only put up a few today so I don't inundate you, ok?

The first photo is my card I made as the make and take at my last workshop.  I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sew Suite items that all coordinate so beautifully.  They are in the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG which means you only have a few more days to order these items before it is all over for this catalog on April 30.Don't miss out.  The stamp set is so wonderful.  Look at that cute button card - IT'S A STAMP.  Look at the adorable tape measure - ALSO A STAMP!!  And the cute spool of thread is ALSO ANOTHER STAMP in the SEW SUITE Stamp set. (item #122009 clear set for $18.95.)  There is also a tomato pin cushion stamp and a manikin stamp as well in this set.  ORDER NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

I am offering a special gift to all who order from me before April 1st - I have a long list of retired stamp sets and am offering a FREE stamp set from these retired sets with every $50 purchase!!

The paper that goes so well with this stamp set is the SWEET STITCHES DESIGNER PAPER.  Oh my, it is absolutely adorable.  My favorite pieces are the buttons page and the sewing machines in all different bright colors page.  (Item #121781 - $9.95)  GET YOUR PAPER FROM ME ALSO TO HELP GET YOUR ORDER UP TO $50 FOR YOUR FREE STAMP SET.

I understand that in the new catalog coming out in soon, all the Designer Papers are going to be $1.00 more per pack.  So the $9.95 papers will be $10.95, the $10.95 papers will be $11.95, etc.  That is what I understand.  So if you see some papers you have been waiting to purchase, THIS IS THE TIME TO PURCHASE THEM WHILE THE PRICES ARE THE LOWEST THEY WILL BE.

And speaking of LOW PRICES, have you seen the Clearance Rack lately??  Those are some amazing prices on the papers, ribbons, buttons and brads, etc.  These can all add up to that special $50 order so you can get personally from me a free stamp set of f my retired sets list.

The cute buttons on my card are the Designer Big Buttons  in the color SWEET STITCHES (of course!) for $8.95 (item #122302)  And don't forget the designer fabric if you like to do crafts with fabric.  I made an adorable onesie for my new baby granddaughter with two ruffles around the waist with the Sweet Stitches Fabric (item #121818 $9.95 - 3 long fat quarters) and pompom trim only $6.50 each roll of 5 yards.  (items #123322-Melon Mambo; #123323-Tangerine Tango; #121885-Daffodil Delight).

I did not use this on my card above, but ther eare also Fabric Designer Brads I used on another card (see below) (Item #121880 for $6.95 for 24 brads) that match perfectly these papers, fabrics and stamps!!

LOVE IT WHEN EVERYTHING MATCHES AND I DON'T HAVE TO GUESS IF IT ALL GOES TOGETHER.  IT MAKES IT SO PROFESSIONAL, DOESN'T IT??!!

From today, April 20 through midnight April 30th, all those who order from me will have A SECOND CHANCE TO WIN SOMETHING FOR FREE - I will put their names into a drawing for the hostess set in the Occasions Mini  called A SLICE OF LIFE.  It will be like YOU were the hostess for my orders these last few days of the month and YOU get the FREE HOSTESS SET!!  Order ONLINE from my stampin up site and it will notify me when you order, then I will add your name to the drawing AS WELL AS send you the list of my retired stamps for you to choose the free set when your order reaches $50 of merchandise!!  WOW, DON'T YOU LOVE FREE THINGS??!!

I have been really lucky this month winning free things from others in the "BLOG WORLD" so thought I would pass on the good fortune by offering free things TO YOU!!

http://www.jenniferkay.stampinup.net/

Back to my card:  some of you will wonder how I got the tape measure to look so real - well, after I stamped it and cut it out, I used my bone folder and rubbed it along the card stock like you would if you were curling ribbon.  I did it a few times to break the fibers in the card stock, but not so much it goes limp.  Then I did it on one end over the top of the card stock so it flips up, then on the other end under the card stock so it flips down.  Cute, huh?  Used glue dots to attach.

Second Card I wanted to show you the fabric button I used on the St. Patrick Day card, but it could actually be for any time of the year that you want to wish someone GOOD LUCK.

Isn't that brad adorable? The whole set of fabric brads match the set with mini buttons on the fabric, stitching, pattern pieces, etc.  Adorable.

I created this cute Easter Card with the bunny from the set SO CUTE (item #123893 clear)  I used blush blossom card stock and stamped the bunny with rich razzleberry, pretty in pink and blush blossom ink as the background paper.  Then I used the Four Frames NEW STAMPSET and colored in the flowers and punched it with the Designer Label Punch and backed it with two punches from the same punch in rich razzleberry.  I do NOT own a Happy Easter Stamp!  Isn't that crazy??!!  So I stamped Happy from a small Happy Birthday stamp retired and Stamped it twice to Say Happy Happy, then put a pearl for the second Happy so it reads HAPPY HOPPY.  Cute, eh?  Rich razzleberry ink completes this simple layered card.  Try this technique of making your own simple designer paper with some of YOUR small stamps, or purchase this SO CUTE STAMP SET today from me online!!

More later with more photos!!  Inky fingers to y'all!!
