HALLOWEEN TREAT HOLDER - "IF THE SHOE FITS..."

I made a whole batch of these cute witches shoes as a treat holder for the kids in my neighborhood as well as my grandkids.

 Even though you cannot purchase this bigz die through Stampin' Up!, I still use it every year because there has been nothing I have seen to replace it.  It is really a Christmas stocking die, but with the circle here for the toe and a circle punch to shape it, then a heel there attached and the height of the stocking shortened, you have a perfect witches shoe.  As they, IF THE SHOE FITS...

There are several warehouse stores on line that sell older or discontinued Sizzix dies, so if you want this die, I would suggest you look there.

I used the word window punch for the latches on the shoe and the stop of the stocking die in DSP for the cuff.

FUN CHUNKY HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS

I have been working on some Megan Suarez digi art for halloween.  I am making two coaster hangings for the wall.  I love LOVE LOVE Megan's artistic style and these cute little monsters are so stinkin' fun!!

I made these two art pieces to be hooked to hand side-by-side.  I am still in the process of finishing them, but I wanted you to see the coloring I have done so far with my alcohol markers.

 I started with my grey copics in four different shades.  These are made to be creepy and a little bit cute for HALLOWEEN.  I then colored his tshirt, his horns and around his eyes with three different greens.  The bat is only greys and white dots.  The bat, the skull, his horns and the one ugly eye of my little monster is 3D layering. Same below with Grandpa and little Granddaughter.

This is grandpa and the little granddaughter (in my mind).  I did the same steps with this coaster - first coloring/shading with my greys and then adding colors to the shirt,horns and eyes. Oh, also a white pen for the mouth and highlights on the shirts, skull, shoes, etc.

The spider web is a spider web doily that I have glued on and cut.  I am going to line them up better and then put a piece of card stock as a hinge on the back to keep them together.  There will be background coloring and lettering, as well as beads, sequins and I am not sure what else.

I had fun coloring them and am entering them into the 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE.

WITCHES CRAFT PARTY

This weekend we had the best fun -- a Witches Craft Party!!  We wore witches hats and clothing (if we had any) and made some fun POTIONS BOTTLES.

Here are some photos of some of the Potions we made:

 Aren't these fun??!!  We found our clear empty bottles in the dollar section at TARGET Store.

 The first thing we did was use a fine tipped hot glue gun and draw on the words/decorations we wanted on our bottles.

 Then we sprayed the bottles with blackboard chalk paint.

When dry, we applied different craft paints, glitter paints, glitter, etc.  Whatever we wanted to create our spooky potions bottles.

Then we added embellishments of moss on the cover, ribbons, sequins, etc.

HALLOWEEN GOODIE BOX

I have another oldie but goodie box to reshare with you.

 This little box is about the size of a miniature chocolates box like Russell Stover or Whitmans.  I used a strip of DSP as the windy ribbon on top with some punched out bats from the retired bat punch.  Also the fun black ribbon with stripes from the M store.

 This gives you a better idea of the size of the box.  Those are autumn colored Hershey's Kisses in a cello bag.  The belly band has been removed and you can see better how I did the long paper strips and curled them.

The last photo is of the box empty, awaiting more candy to fill it.

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN CARD

I have a fun, spooky and EASY Halloween card for you today.  I LOVE when my designer paper does all the work for me!!

I used a piece of DSP from the black and white pack for my three panels.  I used old olive for my card base and a piece of black card stock for the layer behind the panels.  I scallop punched the layer before adhering the panels.  I added the spooky witch tree die cut in black card stock.  The I used two crow stickers from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit and added Crystal Effects to the two crows.

 Trying to get a photo to show the crystal effects on the two crows in the tree and the shine on BOOOO!  Can you see it?

 I stamped the cute BOOO! word in black ink on old olive card stock and layered it on black card stock.  I then flagged the end.



I used this sketch from SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY to decide on the layout of my card:

My finishing touch was the black thread knotted on the left of the card.  This is also left over from this month's PAPER PUMPKIN KIT.

FLIP-IT FRANKIE-STEIN HALLOWEEN CARD

Last year, I saw this idea on Becky R's blog, a fellow demonstrator and knew I would make some this coming year.  I could hardly wait to use the idea and make my very own FLIP IT FRANKIE-STEIN (THAT'S WHAT I AM CALLING THIS CARD).

 AND HEEEERRRREEE'S FRANKIE!!  (Like Ed McMahon used to say on Johnny Carson).  Isn't he the most adorably funny thing EVER::!!  I am in love with this guy.

 So you can see he is really easy to make.  Use the circle flip-it die to make the folding flip-it card.  I actually don't have the circle one so I made it with the label flip then used a circle thinlit to cut over it to make the large left eyeball.  I L.O.V.E. that his eyes are kitty-whampus.  That is the whole charm for me!!

When it opens up, the large eyeball is now the greeting and there is another eyeball there behind it.  His smile continues inside as does his crazy hair.  The mouth and scar is created with a black SU marker.

 The sentiment is from a retired halloween set from last year.  But I LOVE how the pumpkins are the "O's" in BOOO so I kept it and will always use it.

A GIRL CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY (PAPER) PURSES!!

Today I have a fun paper purse that can hold a gift card, candy, a small gift, etc.  I made it in purple, black and white because I was thinking about an ADULT Halloween theme, but it can really be for any time in any color, etc.

 I used the TOP NOTE DIE and my BIG SHOT for the purse shape.  I used two of the OVAL FRAMELITS for the purse cover.

 The designer paper is MODERN MEDLEY DSP - all fun black and white designs.  I used some polkadot ribbon for the purse handle.

 Her I am holding it by it's handle so you can get an idea of how big it is.  You could always make it longer or wider by cutting halfway, the backing it back out of the BIG SHOT and then moving the paper and cutting it from the other side.  But I am happy with this regular size of the TOP NOTE DIE.

 I used some sticky Velcro for the closure.  Here you can see where I punched holes in the top and threaded my ribbon through and tied a knot for the handle.  I REALLY LOVE this paper with the elegant eggplant card stock, don't you?

Here I am closing up the purse after I filled it with a cute note and a gift card.  The flower on the front is made with two layers of purple and two layers of white card stock punched with the medium scallop circle punch.

BEAUTIFUL TABLESCAPE

I just wanted to share with you the beautiful tablescape that my daughter Lesleigh has created for the Halloween season.

The pumpkins are covered with newsprint DSP.  Aren't they beautiful??!!

I just had to do a closeup of the cute Ghostie saying BOO.  I made her two of these and there is one on each side of the table display.  They are wood painted and sprayed, then ribbon and pumpkin bell added.  YES, that is a PUMPKIN JINGLE BELL.  CUTENESS

Another closeup so you can see the pumpkins all covered with the dictionary/newsprint.  LOVE IT.

This was just to show that our paper crafting does NOT have to be ONLY CARDS.  There are so many things we can do with these products.  The dictionary/newsprint is one of the pieces of paper in the WITCHES BREW DSP from Stampin' Up!

FULL MOON, BATS FLYING AT MIDNIGHT...

My mom's birthday was on Halloween and when we would leave to go trick-or-treating, she would stay home to hand out candy at our house and always tell us "Behave because I will be flying around on my broom and will know if you do anything naughty."

Hey, for years I believed her!!  That was the only day of the year we could call her a WITCH and get away with it.  ha ha

Fun memories about Halloween.  Here is a card I made with some more fun memories of Halloween.  A full moon with scarey shadows all around as we walked down the dark road to get to the next house.

 I call this kind of card a fancy fold step card.  Not sure if there is another name for it.  It has 3 pieces of the front that make the middle step out in front and the two sides bend to the background.  I used Witches Brew DSP and elegant eggplant card stock and ink.

 I stamped on the back side of the DSP and adhered it with stampin' dimensionals. I used the bird builder punch for the branch the bat is sitting on.

The bat is made with the owl punch.  His wings are the vest piece of the punch.  The moon is also a punch.

WINDOW FRAMELITS CARD FOR HALLOWEEN

HI BLOGGIES,

I have been playing around with my window framelits trying to see what else I could do with them.  I just haven't used them as much as I would like to.

I used one to cut the shape of the card and then used two other sizes to cut the dsp to decorate the card.

I used elegant eggplant for the base of the card.  Witches Brew dsp is used for the two decorative pieces in the middle.  

The Halloween Happiness stamp was stamped on pumpkin pie card stock. 

When you open the folds, there are two pieces of pumpkin pie to write your message.
