YOU MAKE ME HAPPY, WHEN SKIES ARE GRAY

HEY BLOGGIES

I am so LOVING the FREE stamp set  called SEE YA LATER.  This set is fun and cute and also can be used for several different occasions.

I had a rough Thursday and when I told my friend Tammy that I could not come over to stamp with her because I was having a bummer day, she said some funny things and cheered me a bit.  I had to deliver some stamps to her and also pick up some things from an internet order at her home so I went over.  I only expected to stay a few minutes and then go home and sulk because of the rough day.  Well, first she gave me my internet order and that cheered me up.  I LOVE THE DIES we bought.  Then she gave me the CUTEST PURSE EVER.  She made it and it is AWESOME.  That definitely cheered me up.

So here is a card to thank her and let her know how she cheered up my sad Thursday:

Coastal cabana, whisper white and marina mist card stock, along with a long skinny piece of Fresh Prints DSP folded and cut along the fold with the FRINGE SCISSORS

A basic metal button and some white bakers twine as well as some Modern Medley DSP complete the card.  I shaded some clouds with smoky slate and basic gray and added some raindrops from a retired stamp set.

One last look at the fun card.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.  What have YOU made with this stamp set?

    SYMPATHY CARD WITH MODERN MEDLEY

    HEY BLOGGIES:

Hope all is well where you are. Here in Central Texas we are enjoying a week of cooler and dryer fall weather.  The mornings are in the 50s and the daytime high is only in the 80s.  It is our version of fall!!

We had our Stampin' Club a few days ago and I wanted to show you two of the cards we made.

This first card was made with Modern Medley Designer paper and my BIG SHOT with the Window Frames Collection Framelits dies.  I used the beautiful set called SIMPLY SKETCHED for the flower and the sentiment.

I finished off the card with a bow of white satin ribbon.  I used fellow demo Tanya's directions on how to make a FINGER BOW and it works so nicely.  Best bow I have EVER made!!

This next card is using the card sets MILLION AND ONE and also GORGEOUS GRUNGE.  I love turquoise with black and white.  It is striking together.  This is a very simple card with a lot of WOW. Slate gray, black and turquoise inks were also used.

LATE NIGHT STAMPERS CHALLENGE - BRING ON THE BLING

    HEY BLOGGIES,

Here is a card I made for the Late Night Stampers Challenge:

I used Modern Medley DSP for the background.  The die cut is a retired tulip die from Sizzix/Stampin Up.

My BLING is all the BLACK RHINESTONES on top of the die cut.

Hope you enjoyed my card.  If you need any supplies, please consider using me as your demonstrator.

BLACK AND WHITE SPECIAL FOLD CARD

    HEY BLOGGIES,

We got rain here in TEXAS!!  YIPPEE  It was wonderful and we are praying for some more this weekend.  The drought is at the end, we are all hoping.

My manager, Dawn G. shared how to make this special fold card and I wanted to share with all of you.  I used the Modern Medley DSP, which is all black and white patterns.  I love how elegant it is and how it can go with any other pop of color.

It looks difficult but it is actually achieved with a few score lines to fold and only 2 small triangle cuts.

I used the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and matching FRAMELITS for the "FOR YOU" closure of this card.  It is only adhered on the left side so it can easily open, as you will see in the next photo.

Here is the card with only the left side open.  You can see I put a piece of solid card stock inside for your note, message, etc.

Both sides open here.  The black card stock is the square base that the card sits upon.

A final photo of the completed card.  I stamped with versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder.  Love that look!!

THEN I DECIDED IT NEEDS A LITTLE MORE BLING!!  Here is the card BLINGED UP with a ribbon and some pearls of different sizes:

Two big pearls on the label and 5 mini pearls in a row on all four sides of the stripe.

The pearls in a row show up better when this photo is blurry.
I am pointing to one row of the 5 mini pearls and next photo down I am pointing to another row.

Thanks for stopping by this weekend. See you again with another fun card.

A GIRL CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY (PAPER) PURSES!!

    HEY BLOGGIES,

Today I have a fun paper purse that can hold a gift card, candy, a small gift, etc.  I made it in purple, black and white because I was thinking about an ADULT Halloween theme, but it can really be for any time in any color, etc.

I used the TOP NOTE DIE and my BIG SHOT for the purse shape.  I used two of the OVAL FRAMELITS for the purse cover.

The designer paper is MODERN MEDLEY DSP - all fun black and white designs.  I used some polkadot ribbon for the purse handle.

Her I am holding it by it's handle so you can get an idea of how big it is.  You could always make it longer or wider by cutting halfway, the backing it back out of the BIG SHOT and then moving the paper and cutting it from the other side.  But I am happy with this regular size of the TOP NOTE DIE.

I used some sticky Velcro for the closure.  Here you can see where I punched holes in the top and threaded my ribbon through and tied a knot for the handle.  I REALLY LOVE this paper with the elegant eggplant card stock, don't you?

Here I am closing up the purse after I filled it with a cute note and a gift card.  The flower on the front is made with two layers of purple and two layers of white card stock punched with the medium scallop circle punch.

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween Purse trick or treat for ADULTS.  ha ha  You know the saying:

A GIRL CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY PURSES OR TOO MUCH MONEY!!   HA HA

Thanks for visiting my blog.  I have card class tonight so I will be showing you our projects we complete on tomorrow's blog.  Come on back now, ya' hear?
