GHOSTS, GHOSTIES,,,,BOOOOO

I MADE A SUPER QUICK CARD THIS AFTERNOON AND GOT THE SUPPLIES ALL READY FOR MY CARD CLUB THIS WEEK.  AND....I DISCOVERED A NEW WAY TO USE MY PUNCHES!!  SOOOO AWESOME FOR SOMETHING CREATIVE TO JUST POP INTO MY HEAD WHILE I AM PLAYING WITH MY CARDS.

FIRST, HERE IS THE CARD:

THE BASE OF THE CARD IS BASIC GRAY, THEN A LAYER OF CAJUN CRAZE AND THEN THE DESIGNER PAPER (RETIRED) CALLED FRIGHTFUL SIGHT.  MY GOAL THIS FALL IS TO USE UP ALL MY DESIGNER PAPER BEFORE I PURCHASE NEW!!  I HAVE SO VERY VERY MUCH.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME RETIRED PAPER THAT YOU LOVE, I WOULD BE GLAD TO SHARE SOME WITH YOU!

BACK TO THE CARD...SEE THAT ADORABLE LITTLE GHOST IN THE RIGHT HAND CORNER THAT MATCHES THE PAPER AND THE STAMP?  I MADE IT MYSELF!!!  YEP I DID!!  HERE IS HOW I MADE IT:

YOU NEED THE 1 3/4" OVAL PUNCH AND THE WORD WINDOW PUNCH.

 I AM USING CONFETTI WHITE.  THAT IS WHY YOU SEE BITS AND PIECES OF STUFF ON THE CARD STOCK.  FIRST, PUNCH AN OVAL WITH YOUR PUNCH.

 THEN CUT THAT OVAL IN HALF.  YOU WILL MAKE TWO GHOSTS.

MAKE A MARK WITH YOUR FINGERNAIL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OVAL AT THE WIDEST PART.  USING YOUR WORD WINDOW PUNCH, PUNCH A SMALL SNIP OUT JUST A BIT LEFT OF CENTER.  THEN PUNCH AGAIN A BIT RIGHT OF CENTER.  USE YOUR BLACK MARKER TO MAKE THE EYES AND THAT'S IT!!  ISN'T HE ADORABLE??!!  REMINDS ME OF PACKMAN GHOSTS.

I MADE THE BANNER BY USING MY SQUARE PUNCH AND CUTTING A V IN EACH END.  I USED SMALL GLUE DOTS AND HUMPED IT UP TO LOOK MORE LIKE A BANNER.

THIS IS THE INSIDE, BUT THE 2 OVAL PUNCHED CS IS JUST SITTING THERE FOR YOU TO SEE.  ONLY THE COMPLETED GHOST AND THE BOOOO ARE ATTACHED TO THE INSIDE.

YNS CHALLENGE #53

Welcome!  This is my FIRST Your New Stamp Challenge AND my first challenge with a DIGI STAMP!!

YNS was kind enough to offer us a choice of FREE digi stamps to participate in this challenge, and I chose the hairy spider with the smile!  What a juxtaposition for sure!!  ha

 I did another of my funky fold cards that I have been enjoying creating this month.  It is a 6 x 11 piece of cardstock cut and scored to fold in an unusual way.  I used pumpkin pie for the cardstock, basic black behind the Stampin Up designer paper.  And the FREE digi stamp from Your New Stamp challenge #53 to create my entry into their challenge.  I colored the spider with basic gray marker and backed it with basic black card stock and fussy cut it out.  It hangs from it's web with TRICK OR TREAT stamped in black at the bottom of the card.

Here is a bit of a side view so you can see the slits that are cut and how it is folded several times to create this FUN and FUNKY card.  Inside I stamped BOO.  After all, what else does a Halloween spider say??

DAY TWO OF OUR OCTOBER GLITTER QUEEN BLOG HOP

Happy Fall, Y'All.  Do you remember the stamp set we used to sell with that saying?  I LOVED that stamp.  Made me feel right at home!  ha

How are you enjoying the blog hop so far?  Hope you are getting lots of ideas from our creative gals.  We certainly love to "show off our stuff" for you!!  Did you know we are from all over the United States?  I am in Texas, some are in Michigan, some in California and one even in Hawaii!!  We LOVE the internet so we can communicate with you all and share our ideas!!

For my card today I used the WICKED COOL stamp set.  I LOVE this set.  The boots and the hat are awesome, but so is the candelabra and the word stamps.  I got this idea from my new swap group member.  Didn't she come up with such a FUN idea?

 This is to be like the Witch's dresser or bureau with a mirror.  See the legs of her dresser at the bottom?  I punched those with the decorative punch.  Then I put on 3 "kitty-wampus" drawers to her dresser with dimensionals. (that's Tex-speak for crooked!)  I have mini gold brads as the handles to the drawers.  And look at that - she got stuck inside the dresser upside down!!  It was a wild night, I imagine!!

Her mirror is made with confetti cream card stock, then I sponged some basic gray around the edges, and stamped some spider webs as well.  I added her candelabra just a little crooked to show what a wild night it had been.  Inside, I stamped "Have a Wicked Halloween" also from the same stamp set.  Isn't it a HOOT??!!  LOVE IT.

The card stock colors are concord crush, lucky limeade, confetti cream.  The ink is basic gray and basic black.  Markers were used to color the stamped images.  A tad bit of Crystal Effects looks perfect on her candelabra, even if it doesn't show up well for my camera phone.
