CARD FOR SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY CHALLENGE

Another new sketch over at SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY for our weekly challenge.  Here is the sketch by Diana Eichfeld:

Here is my card:

 I stretched the sketch a bit by considering the circles on the sketch to be the flowers that I stamped.

 I used the En Francais background stamp in  baked brown sugar.

 I cut the wings off my papillion potpourri butterfly and put two on one side with a dimensional.

I love how the butterfly is popped up to look like he is flying down to the poppy for nectar.

A happy birthday banner and some pearls here and there completes my card.  Please notice how I water colored the flowers with several colors for shading and to add reality.

CLEAN AND SIMPLE FALL LEAVES BIRTHDAY CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have a clean and simple birthday card for you today.  It is done in fall tans and browns with some maple leaves.

En Francais background stamp stamped over a stencil of the apothecary label framelits.  Sponged around the edges with crumb cake, burnt brown sugar.

I stamped the Magnificent Maple single stamp in early espresso over the print.  I then stamped the Banner Label stamp set, Happy Birthday, in early espresso and popped it up with dimensionals.

I love the softness and the colors of this card.  Hope you enjoyed it too.  The crisp edges of the stencil and the details of the leaves work so well together.

DOILIES, BUTTONS, RHINESTONES AND RIBBON...

Here is a simple but pretty card I put together this morning.  I used one of the new tea doilies which are available in a pack of 25 for $2.95.  I used the En Francais background stamp in Pink Pirouette, layered against black and a pink pirouette card base.  I put a few black rhinestones in a swirl on the doily.

 I added a 1" pink stitched ribbon and two buttons with a clear rhinestone in the middle.

 The sentiment is WISH BIG cut with the window punch and tied under the button with some bakers twine.  Oh yes, I also added a pink brad next to the sentiment.

I don't use pink pirouette ink very often because it is so light.  But here the softness of the ink works great, I believe, and gave me the look I wanted.
