NO LINE COLORING SINGLE BLOOM

Hey Bloggies,

Sorry I forgot to post this for this morning.  Hope those of you that came early have come back to see the post.

Here is the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY SKETCH from Elizabeth K:

I also used the sketch and challenge from FRIDAY MASHUP #190 and their Color Challenge #45:

I call this NO LINE WATER COLORING because I used the same color for the outline of the stamp as I did for the coloring.  It gives it a wonderful 3=D effect.

I used my cherry cobbler ink for the stamp outline, then used cherry cobbler Blendabilities for my coloring.

This up close view lets you see how 3=D it really looks.  The lightest parts of the few petals was created with the color remover.

I used the flesh-tones Blendabilities, old olive Blendabilities and daffodil delight Blendabilities for the inside stamens and middle of the flower.  I used  several watercolor marker colors for the splatters.

Thanks for stopping by.

TRYING A NEW TECHNIQUE FOR FRIDAY MASHUP

HEY BLOGGIES,

The FRIDAY MASHUP has us trying a new technique on our cards - ink blowing.  Whaat??? Yep, just like when we were in grade school except with our re-inkers we drop a few spots of ink on the paper then take a straw and blow the ink around the paper.

Here is my take on the idea.  I mashed it up because you could also follow their colors of Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Basic Black.  Yep, I did that.

My card base if bermuda bay and the stamped layer is on whisper white. I just randomly blew the ink around the card stock, then moved my large swallowtail stamp around until I thought it fit the best.

I stamped the Swallowtail butterfly stamp with versamark and used black embossing powder.

On a piece of basic black card stock I stamped with versamark and used crushed curry embossing powder for the HOORAY sentiment.

That's all there is to it!!  I believe I will do another and do smaller "splats" of the blown ink to see how that looks.

Thanks, Friday Mashup, for the challenge.  I had FUN FUN FUN.

FALLING LEAVES....CHILL IN THE AIR...

HEY BLOGGIES,

Aren't these leaves beautifully colorful like in real life?!!  I am loving cajun craze, crushed curry and pumpkin pie for fall colors.

Here is a closeup of two of the leaves.  I used the BEST OF AUTUMN stamp set and sponged the inks

A simple pumpkin pie satin ribbon tied in a simple knot and this card is finished and ready to send.
