ANOTHER PRETTY FLOWER CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

Oh, the leaves are all popping out on our beautiful elms and oaks here in The Woodlands, TX.  It is so beautiful to see all these spring green colors.  Green has always been my favorite color, especially in the spring,.

I have another springtime flower card for those of you still cold, wet or snowy.  I cased it from a card swap I did at Leadership in Houston.  This was Katy McG's card idea - thanks Katy I loved it and just had to case it!!

   I loved the design of the card how the upper left corner and lower right corner compliment each other.  I also like the colors - simple but so pretty.

I like the pennant banner from Perfect Pennants with the petite petals flower punched out and applied on it, as well as the washi tape behind it. And of course the saying is something we can ALL use a reminder about, yes?

SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE - MY SKETCH

HEY BLOGGIES,

TODAY SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY IS SHOWCASING MY SKETCH DESIGN FOR THEIR WEEKLY CHALLENGE.

HERE IS MY CARD USING FREE PAPER FROM SALE-A-BRATION:

 SWEET SORBET DESIGNER PAPER WAS USED WITH BLACK LAYER BEHIND IT.  THE BANNER FRAMELITS CUT OUT THIS LARGE BANNER.  CARD BASE IS SUMMER STARFRUIT.

I STAMPED THE BACKYARD BLESSINGS TULIP TWICE ONTO THE DSP AND COLORED THEM IN WITH AQUA MARKER AND INK MARKERS.   SHADED THE FLOWERS AND THE LEAVES WITH LIGHT AND DARK INK.  THE BEE WAS STAMPED AND COLORED WITH INK AND THEN THE MATCHING FRAMELIT DIE CUT IT OUT.  IT HAS CRYSTAL EFFECTS ON IT'S WINGS.  THE RIBBON IS RETIRED, I BELIEVE.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED BOTH MY CARD AND THE SKETCH.  WHY DON'T YOU MAKE A CARD FOLLOWING THIS SIMPLE SKETCH AND UPLOAD IT TO THE SFF CHALLENGE SITE ALSO?  I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT YOU MAKE WITH MY SKETCH.

BANNER FRAMELITS CARD

I have an easy and cute card for you today.  I started with the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY SKETCH HERE:

Here is my take on this sketch.  I did move the sentiment to the top right instead of the bottom right, but I believe that is ok since the basic sketch is still there.

 This is a clean and simple card that packs a lot of pretty!!

 I even used a punch a different way to make the end of my flag with the sentiment on it.

Did you notice the pretty pearls in the centers of the flowers?  A little unusual pop of bling!!
