FLIP IT CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

So sorry I have not been posting anything lately.  VERY VERY busy with spring chores here on the ranch.  I cleared, raked, disked and planted our new 1 1/2 acre field for the horses.  That was a monumental achievement for sure.

My friend, Dee and I made some cards today. Here is a fun flip-it card we made.

The Flip-Its Die for the card base, and the layers is from Stamps of Life.  The flower/swirl on the circle is from The Swirly Birds Bundle, Stampin up.

ely
You can see on the inside I put the sentiment and some additional leaves.  The sentiment is from retired SU stamp set Lovely Amazing You.  The DSP is also retired from SU.

One more look.  Oh, I used Sweet Sugarplum for the base color and Powder Pink, the new In-Color from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by.

COLORING, WATER PAINTING, EMBOSSING

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have another coloring piece for you.  This time I have just completed the piece, not the total card.  Still thinking about what I want to do with the card itself.

I used a retired set called BEST THOUGHTS.  I love the beautiful BIG flower in this set, as well as the butterfly and two sentiments.  Notice I did a background water wash with a light blue tint.

First I stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail EP.  I used Spectrum Noir markers.  I also used Sweet Sugarplum marker from SU.  The purple-ish dots on the stamens are actually Dazzling Details droplets - just a glittery shine with dimension.  They don't show very well in a photo, but they look wonderful in person on this art piece.

Thanks for stopping by to see more coloring.

COLORING SPRING FLOWERS FOR A CARD TODAY

HEY BLOGGIES,

I tried a new technique with my coloring today.  I colored AROUND the main image to make it stand out, leaving the main image white!!  And guess what...I think it worked very well!!

I tried so very hard to catch the Wink of Stella sparkle in my photos and finally caught it in this last photo!!

Thanks for visiting!!  Come visit again, ok?

MORE COLORING

HEY BLOGGIES,

I am sorry I have not posted every single day like I planned.  All I can say is that LIFE got in the way.  I have a 24 hr stomach bug,  I had some church things I needed to complete. And to be truthful, a few days I just didn't want to color!!  LOL  There I said it and it is the truth.  I didn't feel very crafty nor creative so I waited until I did feel like it.

Here is some coloring I did on a retired piece of designer paper called Park Lane by Stampin' Up!  It is printed in a light green color and I used an aqua painter and markers to color.  Also some Wink of Stella and some glitter pens.

I colored with markers and an aqua pen and then added some wink of stella and glitter pens, especially in the middle.

I used raspberry ripple for the color behind the art piece to bring out one of the darker pinks in the rose.  In real life, it really makes the rose pop.

Another photo of my finished card.  I only colored a few green leaves near the rose and left the rest.
Haven't decided what sentiment I want to add.  I will do that when it is time to use the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  See other's entries by clicking on my button on the top right side about THE 30 Day Color Challenge.

COLORING CHALLENGE 2

HEY BLOGGIES,

I don't get much of a chance on the weekends to do my crafts.  There is too much work to do around the ranch that my hubby and I do together.

But today I have another coloring piece to share with you for The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge:

I not only colored this pretty flower, but I made it 3D by cutting apart three flowers and using pop ups to put it together for the 3D effect.

I made it into this very simple birthday card.  The banner is made from printed vellum and the dots that show up white are actually sparkling moon drops.  Had to put one to cover up an ink booboo and then had to add more to make it look right!!

I used markers, aqua pen and ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

FINAL DRAGONFLY CARD CREATED THIS WEEK

HEY BLOGGIES,

I am LOVING this Dragonfly bundle from Stampin' Up!  Here is a look at what I created FIRST, and then built the card around it:

I cut out the white cardstock and the Pink Glimmer Paper with the two dies from the Dragonfly Bundle.    Then I used Markers in Daffodil Yellow, Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky. to color in the openings on the wings.  Doesn't it look amazing??  I am loving this stained glass effect.  Look below for my card I made around this amazing ART PIECE:

Again, like yesterday, I used Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride cardstock, as well as the SAB FREE designer paper called Outside the Lines.  I cut it up and lightly colored parts of it with my chalk markers.  I am LOVING this card!!!  Oh, I also put some Wink of Stella clear on the centers of all the flower on my cards this week.

See that little glossy glue spot near the Dragonfly's head??  Well, I removed it with my SU gum eraser and VOILA, good as new!!

DRAGONFLY CARDS AND GLIMMER PAPER

HEY BLOGGIES,

My friend, Dee, came over and we made some FUN dragonfly cards with only the DIES that match the stamp set from Stampin' Up!!!!!  Well, we did use one of the sentiments from the set, but the paper did our work for us as we used GLIMMER PAPER for the die cuts of the dragonfly.

Let me show you a few cards:

Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette with silver twine

Brushed silver card stock for the die cut, delicate doily, soft sky and another blue I can't remember which one right now... sorry.

Getting fancier and more beautiful here:  Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette, Outside the Lines SAB FREE designer paper, chalk markers coloring, and Pink Glimmer Paper die cut dragonfly.

Same idea as the pink card above, but I used Bermuda Bay and some chalk markers for minimal coloring of the Outside the Lines SAB FREE designer paper, with Brushed Silver Cardstock for the die cut.

Come back this weekend to see the "Piece de Resistance" of the cards I have made this week.

Thanks for stopping by!!

FOSSIL CARDS

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have some card sthat I would like to share with you.  Some call this a nautilus shell, others call it an ammonite.  Whatever you call it, I hope you enjoy seeing my card:

First on all my backgrounds, I used different color cardstock and applied ink pad direct to wet cardstock to make this effect. After it is completely dry, I stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed.

The embossing powder is called Verdisgris.  I think it is a beautiful color.  It has several colors with it like copper that has tarnished.

The ink pads I used were crumb cake, mint macaron, pool party and some little bit of turquoise.

I used some thick kraft twine for the embellishment.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
