BRAVO---YOU DID IT---CONGRATS---WOO HOO!!!

HEY BLOGGIES,

I LOVE the Bravo stamp set with all the things we love to say to those who have special achievements.  I created a card for my granddaughter who is graduating from college this weekend.  We are so very proud of her.  She is graduating with honors and has received some scholarships to go on to her Master's.  She is a "college Ninja"!!

Here is the card I made to go with the quilt I made her:

I wanted bright colors to go with the excitement of the event.  I matted it with crushed curry.  I used for inks:  crushed curry, tangerine tango, garden green, marina mist.

My friend, Tammy made the candy hearts with alcohol ink and crystal effects.  They are so cute and she has been making all different colors, shapes, etc.  She is so creative!!

Here is the inside of the card.  I used crushed curry for the framing of the white and black OH YEAH!!

One more look at the complete card.  Aren't the fonts so awesome in this set??!!  LOVE it!!

Thanks for stopping by.

MOJO MONDAY CONTEST

HEY BLOGGIES,

Getting my Monday Mojo going this morning with a card for you.  Using up some of my Sale-a-Bration items.  I am still loving it all and can't think of it as retired when here it is and I am LOVING IT, ya' know?  So at my home, it is still all good!!

And here is my take on the sketch:

I put the little flag/banner down the left side and then when I look at it, it all looks like a big flag or banner!! I used PETAL PARADE stamp set which I am still loving!!

Here is a closeup of the card with all it's yumminess.  Candy dots in the center of the flowers; seam binding ribbon, and that lovely stamped chevron stamp going down the left side as my flag/banner.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hop over to Mojo Monday and enter YOUR card!!

PAPER PIECED CARD - EASTER WISHES

HEY BLOGGIES,

I am right in the middle of getting our house ready to sell so we can move.  Same area just into the country more.  SOOO because of that, I have most of my craft room all packed and stored away safely.

But how can anyone go weeks without stamping or crafting??!!  I know I can't.  I made a paper pieced card today and used the sentiment of one of the 5 that I kept from packing away.

I made this card to enter at TECHNO STAMPER MONDAY.  My second card for this week on this challenge.  Also entered at Around the World Stamping.

I used the FREE DSP from Sale-a-Bration called SWEET SORBET and I sure do L O V E that paper!!  I fussy cut out some of the printed flowers from the paper as well as stamped some Petite Petals flowers and punched them out.

Here is the card all finished.  I added some water coloring onto the DSP for shading, coloring and emphasis to some of the flowers.

You can see the paper pieced flower and leaves in this upper lkeft hand corner.  I then popped it up on dimensionals and used my markers and aqua painter to add shading, filling and layering of colors,  LOVE IT

The twine is the FREE SAB SWEET SORBET ACCESSORY PACK and I am loving this thicker twine.  I used a trick I saw on the web recently - I used a bit of gesso or elmer's glue in between my fingers and rubbed it on the tails of the twine.  Then I shaped it how I wanted it to be and let it almost dry before I attached it to my card.  AWESOME how it makes such a difference with the bow all shaped and pretty.  (this is before I added the other candy dots to my card.

Now you can see my candy dots (I changed out the one on the twine bow) and the completed card with the shading and coloring.  What do you think? I really REALLY liked the process because I was so much more involved with the creation by coloring, shading, layering colors and then paper piecing and adding punches.  You will see some more of these types of cards from me again.

OOPS, I forgot to show the inside of my card:

I believe the most important part of Easter:  HE IS RISEN.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Please stop back by again.  If you have any questions, let me know.
The colors I used are:

Soft Suede ink (for sentiment)
Crisp Cantaloupe
Pool Party
Calypso Coral
Coastal Cabana
Summer Starfruit

SPRING, GLORIOUS SPRING HERE IN EAST TEXAS

HEY BLOGGIES,

We have had a fantastic week of spring weather and our trees burst forth with their leaves.  Lots of flowering bushes and trees and treating us to their beauty also.

Our LNS challenge for this week is to create a card that says SPRING.  I choose the FREE stamp set PETAL PARADE from saleabration.

I chose strawberry slush and bermuda bay for my color combo.  The paper is Geometric DSP.  This is also for the Monday TECHNO STAMPER LUNCHTIME CHALLENGE

Oh, I also used a bermuda bay candy dot on top of my popped up flower.  And created the ribbon/banner with the stamp set, bermuda bay ink and coastal cabana card stock.

I created a matching envie by sticking the envie closed and cutting off the left side.  Then I added bermuda bay card stock for the flap, and stamped some more to match the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you come back again soon.

A GEOMETRIC TAG

HEY BLOGGIES,

I created another fun tag similar to the ones we made at Leadership.  This is for Retro Sketches.

LOVING THOSE FRINGE SCISSORS!!  I love the fringe at the bottom of this tag.

I made this a THANKS tag with the flag in the middle.  Notice the candy dots pick up the same colors in the DSP?   Also, I made the candy dots into the triangle shape to echo the triangles on the tag for cohesion.

Strawberry slush, coastal cabana and crushed curry are the three colors on this fun bright tag.

How did I made the hollow triangles?  punch a triangle, then snip around it very closely and carefully to have just a thin border to use on the tag.  Save the punched triangle solid for another project, OF COURSE!!

I used the tag topper punch to create the tag; also used the basic metal button and silver bakers twine.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  Wont you leave me a comment?

FLOWERFULL HEART LAST PROJECT FROM CARD CLASS

HEY BLOGGIES,

Here is the last project we made from my CARD CLASSES last week.

For the first goodie bag we used the cute heart bags kit from the OCCASIONS CATALOG called SWEETHEART TREAT BAGS.  The die cut tags and the bakers twine are included in the little kit.

These bags are a bit larger and have the fun chevrons on it.  Only the bags come in this package.  I used the FLOWERFULL HEART WOOD STAMP and my HEART THINLITS DIES to create the tag on the front of the bag.  I added a candy dot below the heart, and 1" stitched ribbon to make the fun bow.

I would LOVE to help you get the supplies to make these cards and treat bags I have shown these past few days.  If you do not have a demonstrator, please click below to order the supplies you need.
