MERRY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES

WHY DO WE ONLY USE MERRY WITH CHRISTMAS?  I am putting a stop to that!!  I am using it IN PLACE of HAPPY!!  I know, I know - WHAT A REBEL!! HA

Soft sky - that just makes me dream of laying on a puffy cloud and slowly drifting along, while watching the beautiful blue of the sky!!

Not sure what color this yellow is - it was a scrap that I wanted to use up.  But I think it goes along with the birthday theme just fine, don't you?  LOVING these word THINLITS.  I want to use them all year long, hence using them with "Birthday Wishes".

I punched out two of the deco label punches in yellow and cut them in half to put as a layer behind the sentiment.

One more look at the completed card.  Pretty cute and pretty fast.  I made it in less than 10 minutes!!  Actually 9 min 16 seconds.  YIPPEE

HELLO LOVELY CAS CARD

HELLO LOVELY BLOGGIES,  I have a clean and simple (CAS) card for you today that I think is pretty awesome.

I used crumb cake, baked brown sugar, pool party and coastal cabana inks.

I love the new stretchy ruffled coastal cabana ribbon.  It gave it just the touch I was looking for.  I also have 4 mini pearls around the frame of the sentiment.  In person it adds the perfect little sparkle.

I even put a few Coastal Cabana arrows on my envelope to point towards the address when I send it out.

GET WELL MONSTER CARD

My grand child #4, Collin, just got braces Thursday and he is in some serious pain today.  Poor guy!!  The worse part is there is nothing a Grandma can really do except sympathize...so that is what I decided to do by making him a funny card that lets him know I understand what he is going through.

I saw this adorable monster on a fellow demonstrator's blog and knew I had to change this from GET WELL to SORRY FOR THE BRACES PAIN and make it for him.

Is he the most ADORABLE and UGLY thing you have ever seen??!!  I used the main idea and did some changes - made the eyes different sizes, added plaque around his teeth, and added the braces.

The little guy is just so fun, I laugh every time I look at it.  Those eyes are like what one feels when one is on "the brink". We have all been on the brink for one reason or another, haven't we??

A close up of the sentiment on the front:  HELP ME!  ha ha

a look at his teeth from the inside of the card OR the inside of his mouth like a dentist would see.

Here is the card opened up and Monster says TEEF' HURT.  ha ha  L-O-V-E    I-T.

A closeup of the inside sentiment.

One final look before I put a little note inside and send him on his way to help Collin feel better.

Thanks for visiting me and I hope you enjoyed my fun card.  Please stop by again to see my next creation, won't you?

DOILIES, BUTTONS, RHINESTONES AND RIBBON...

Here is a simple but pretty card I put together this morning.  I used one of the new tea doilies which are available in a pack of 25 for $2.95.  I used the En Francais background stamp in Pink Pirouette, layered against black and a pink pirouette card base.  I put a few black rhinestones in a swirl on the doily.

I added a 1" pink stitched ribbon and two buttons with a clear rhinestone in the middle.

The sentiment is WISH BIG cut with the window punch and tied under the button with some bakers twine.  Oh yes, I also added a pink brad next to the sentiment.

I don't use pink pirouette ink very often because it is so light.  But here the softness of the ink works great, I believe, and gave me the look I wanted.

Thanks for stopping by!!

SNEEK PEAK AT NEW HOLIDAY ITEMS

Here is an unusual fellow we saw yesterday morning on my husband's car antenna.  Yes, he is alive and real. We googled him and he is a Gold Winged Orange Skimmer Dragonfly.  Not supposed to be in Texas, they live in Mexico, but with climate changes, etc, no one told him!!  They are also found in Eastern Coastal US.

JUST A FEW MORE DAYS AND THEN YOU CAN START ORDERING FROM THE NEW HOLIDAY CATALOG.  YIPPEE!!

Here is a card I made using a new single stamp called HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS.  So Cute!!
This is the cutest fall stamp set.  I stamped it on yellow card stock with pumpkin pie ink, then I used markers to color the stem, vine and leaves for some detail.

I then stamped a second time with versamark and used tangerine tango embossing powder on the jack o lantern and cut him out.  I used stampin dimensionals to pop him up.  Sponged around the edge of the square piece and attached to a piece of the NEW Halloween DSP.

This is a fun fold card and I half opened it so you could see that it is a different shape and size.  Some more DSP inside and a piece of yellow sponged with pumpkin inside for you to write your note.  Black polka dot ribbon on the front with a candy dot of pumpkin to finish it off.
