HUGS CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have another SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY card for you this week.  All the wrapping paper has been collected and put into the trash and the boxes are in the recycle pile.  Now get a cup of hot cocoa and take a look at my beautiful turquoise and black card for this week.  First, here is this week's sketch:

A very simple sketch that is easy and perfect to use for almost any card!!  Here is what I created with it:

I absolutely LOVE the combo of turquoise and black together.  I think it is a crisp and clean combo.  I used some circles and the pansy punch, then some banners and the sentiment is a HUGS die.

Here is a closeup of the main part of my card.  I used some stitching around the circles for added interest.  And I added a thin black boarder along one edge of the black and white dsp.  It is from the current SU catalog, but I am sorry I don't remember the name.  I think it is back to black, but I could be wrong.

I really love how my card came out.  I like the little pop of yellow in the center of the pansy.  And the surprise on how the turquoise circle behind the black only goes half way.  Just a little bit of interest to keep your eye busy.

Thanks for stopping by.  Time for YOU to now make a card and upload it to SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY.  You have all week to come up with your creation.  We would LOVE to see what you create so please share with us.

I also entered this card at PAPER CRAFT CREW CHALLENGE.

EASY PEASY LAST MINUTE MONEY HOLDER CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

I needed a money holder card for my grandkids gifts today and I created them in the 'WINK OF AN EYE" just like Santa!!

I cut a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock in half.  Then I folded each piece long ways to make a long, skinny card - perfect size to hold MONEY!!
I used my mitten punch to make the cute tied mitten on the front - that is all it needed on top of the Christmas DSP.

The background of this DSP is very vanilla.  Sorry it shows so yellow in this photo.

All it needed was a sentiment inside and VOILA - all ready to put under the tree for when the grandkids arrive. (p.s. the older grandkids love getting money so they can shop for exactly what they want!!)

I have entered this card at SUO Challenge and CAS SUNDAY CHALLENGE.

Thanks for stopping by.  MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family.  BE SAFE AND BE HAPPY.

MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

I have been out of commission for a week or two getting ready for holiday events and taking care of my horses and little farm.  Please forgive me.

I have been taking an evening or two to work on my Christmas cards, however, and want to share what they look like this year.  My friend, Tammy, and I have been working on the cutting, measuring, and making of these cards so we could do an assembly line to make them.  We saw a similar design on Pinterest or the web, but we cannot find the original one we saw to tell you the designer.

I used the gold glimmer paper and then rubbed pear pizzazz ink mixed with alcohol all over the glimmer paper and let dry.  Behind the glimmer paper is the gold shimmer paper.  The dsp is in pear pizzazz and white and I am sorry I can't remember which paper stack it came from. Base is pear pizzazz card stock.

The 1/8 inch gold ribbon is also rubbed in the pear pizzazz ink and dried before using it on the card.  The silver snowflake charms were embossed with gold embossing powder.  Also used were little candy dots we created with pear pizzazz ink mixed with the glitter glue white and then a dollop of crystal effects on top to make the little dot.  This was glued in the middle of the snow flake under the bow.  Gold sequins finish off the card (unknown source).

We also used grays for some more cards and marina mist blue for some cards.  I mailed those out without taking photos of them.  Rats!!  I was so intent on getting them out so they would be delivered for Christmas that I totally forgot to take photos.  But the gray cards and blue cards used silver glimmer paper, silver charms, white snowflakes and silver sequins, as well as silver 1/8 inch ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed my cards.  I am happy to say I got them all finished and they are all mailed too!!  WOO HOO this is big for me.  They are usually mailed out AFTER Christmas because I am so busy with all my customers during the holiday season.

CURVY KEEPSAKE BOX GIFT

HEY BLOGGIES,

Sorry I have been missing in action for a week or so.  We got our horses and I have been very busy feeding, brushing, bonding with them.  Also scooping the poopies is an every other day job.  We are trying to stay ahead of it so it doesn't pile up (pun intended).

Anyways, I finally got my head above water on all the horse chores and created some fun curvy keepsake boxes with my Sizzix BIG SHOT and the CURVY KEEPSAKE THINLITS DIES.  I also used my mittens punch for the cute ties.

I made 4 of them to give to 4 friends I visited today.  I used the snowflake embossing folder to add a little winter decoration and the ribbon tie has mittens on each end.  REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE LITTLE AND OUR MITTENS WERE ON THE ENDS OF A KNITTED ROPE THAT WENT UP OUR SLEEVES TO KEEP US FROM LOOSING THE MITTENS?

The mittens have a little color on the fingers part to match the color of the box.
But on these mittens, my friend Tammy heat embossed silver cuffs and there was some silver and pink embossing on the mittens with some sprinkles embedded in the embossing.  But no matter what I did, the flash flooded out the details.  So sad about that because they are so stinkin' cute!!

One more look at three of them with the embossed mittens in the middle.  See, they still don't show up the details!!  grrrr

Anyways, I am sure you want to know what I gave inside, don't you?  Well, I made some yummy FUDGE with walnuts and cut the pieces very small.  I used small plastic baggies to hold the pieces of fudge inside before I closed up the boxes.  YUMMMMM

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to see what YOU have made with your curvy keepsakes box dies.  Won't you share with me what you have created?

Feathers Card with Stamp Set with Matching Dies

Hey Bloggers,

For SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY, I followed the sketch below:

I saw a card at D, Vich's  blog, a fellow demonstrator with Stamping Up and  I immediately knew I had to make one with my own touches:

I  used my Big Shot machine and both the circle dies as well as a Starburst die.  I also used a Thanks die. The Four Feathers stamp set and versamark ink were used with white embossing powder on one feather and Platinum embossing powder on the other.  I then stamped and die cut with the Four Feathers die set the smaller feather and also die cut out a black card stock smaller feather for the layer behind it.  I believe it added the look of dimension by putting the black under the crumb cake feather as a shadow, don't you?

Crumb Cake, basic black, basic grey and Smoky slate card stocks and inks by SU were used.

Thank you for visiting my blog. This thank you card is my gift to each order over $25.00 this month of November,

As always, if you need any supplies, Just click below to go to my store.

Triple Stamping Technique

Hey bloggies,

How are you doing this glorious week? We have had some cold weather blow in, as many of you in most states have also had. Texas is such a big state that the weather varies by each hundred miles you drive. But that's one of the many things I love about Texas.

The first of this week we drove up to Ft. Worth area to visit our Gypsy horses we are purchasing. My hubby went with me this time to get some training on horse care and for him to finally meet "the boys".  For those of you who don't follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I thought I would share some photos if our new boys.

Here is my Triple Layer Card for Sketch Frenzy Friday.  it was my turn for a sketch and I choose the triple layer technique.

Love this stamp set and haven't used it nearly enough. #126377 clear or #128442 wood Mixed Bunch stamp set (page 151 in our large catalog.)

You can make a card like this in any size, but I thought I would share the sizes I used in my card to help you get started.

Base layers you stamp on are 2 x 3 1/4; 3 x 4 1/4; 4 x 5 1/4
Color layer behind your stamping after stamped are 2 1/4 x3 1/2; 3 1/4 x 4 1/2; (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 the card base)

Thanks for stopping by. Sketch Frenzy Friday is there to keep you stamping and creative.

Hey Bloggers,

Jennifer here on an old, slow tablet. My computer is still at geek squad as they fix the fan and whatever else might be wrong with the sickly thing!
I have my weekly card for you using the sketch from SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY.

Here is my card:

Lovely as a Tree is the oldest stamp set that carries over every year.

I inked it up once and then stamped it three times, called generational stamping. It gives the look of depth by the trees looking like they are behind the front one.

Some glitter in the upper left hand corner and some ribbon at the bottom completes my card.  Once I figure out how to make the link tool work, I will supply a hot link in my blog entries.  in the meantime, go to sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com to see what the other team members have created for you.

See you again soon. Have a wonderful weekend.

SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

Hey bloggers,

I have a fun masculine birthday card for you today:

I used Zoo Babies stamp set and mossy meadow ink.  For the background designer paper I used a piece from the Color Me Autumn DSP.  The mossy meadow card stock on the left has been punched with the scallop edge punch.  I used the clothespin from October Paper Pumpkin Kit to hold a tag made com crumb cake card stock and used the scallop tag topper punch,  The sentiments are both from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Here is the sketch I based my card on from Sketch Frenzy Friday.

I am sorry for such a short post. My computer died and I am using a very old tablet to post from. Believe it or not it took me three days to creates this post. Argggghhh
