Valentine Treat Boxes

Here is a post from last year.  I love this valentine treat box made with the scalloped square die and my BIG SHOT.  A few of you asked me to show that cute idea again so I am showing it here.

Use any designer paper you want to cover the chipboard box sides.  I chose to use the chipboard from the dsp packages because I wanted it to have a sturdiness to it.

Here is another treat from a post in the past:

I made this treat box from the kit in the Sale-a-Bration catalog this year.  Isn't it cute?

Made this from 2 sheets of DSP from Sycamore Street in the Sale a Bration catalog this year,

My mini milk carton die and my BIG SHOT made these cute cartons for candy conversation hearts.  I made a simple folded holder to carry the cartons.  I use this die for ALL OCCASIONS.  It is always warmly welcomed when I give it to my friends with treats!!  Got Treats stamp set was used on this one.

DAY TWO - GLITTER QUEENS BLOG HOP

DID YOU ENJOY ALL OUR PROJECTS FROM YESTERDAY?  I GOT SOME GOOD IDEAS FROM MY FELLOW GLITTER QUEENS!!

TODAY I HAVE SOME MORE HALLOWEEN IDEAS FOR YOU.  TAKE A LOOK AT THIS:

ISN'T THIS JACK-O-LANTERN ADORABLE??!!  THIS IS FROM THE" GOT TREATS" STAMP SET.  I HAVE A LOT GOING ON BUT IT IS ALL PRETTY SIMPLE.  FIRST, MY CARD BASE IS PUMPKIN PIE.  THEN A LAYER OF BASIC BLACK TOPPED WITH SOME DESIGNER PAPER IN PUMPKIN PIE.  A SMALL LAYER OF DESIGNER PAPER PUMPKINS AT THE BOTTOM FINISHES OFF THE LAYERS.

THE BLACK DOILY LAYER BEHIND MY JACK IS FROM THE PENNANT DIE FOR THE BIG SHOT.  LOVE IT!!  AND I USED THE SCALLOP CIRCLE PUNCH TO PUNCH OUT JACK AFTER I STAMPED HIM IN PUMPKIN PIE.  I COLORED IN HIS EYES WITH MY BLACK MARKER.  I WANTED TO USE MY BLACK RHINESTONES BUT COULD NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIND THEM.  BUT THIS WORKS JUST FINE.

MY BANNER WAS MADE ON WHISPER WHITE AS I STAMPED THE SENTIMENT "GOT TREATS?" 3 TIMES IN A ROW.  I SNIPPED THE ENDS TO BE BANNER-ISH (IS THAT A WORD?) AND USED GLUE DOTS AT BEGINNING AND END TO HAVE IT FLAP IN THE BREEZE, SO TO SPEAK.  I ROUGHLY TREATED THE EDGES OF THE BANNER WITH SOME PUMPKIN PIE INK.

NEXT ARE TWO CUTE TREAT CONTAINERS FOR SOME FRIENDS.

I USED MY LARGE SCALLOP CIRCLE DIE FOR MY BIG SHOT.  THIS IS A 3 1/2 INCH CIRCLE, I BELIEVE.  IT IS BIG THAT MUCH I KNOW.  I CUT 8 SCALLOPS STRAIGHT OFF THE BOTTOM SO IT WOULD STAND FLAT.

THEN I AGAIN USED THE "GOT TREATS?" STAMP SET AND STAMPED THE LARGER SENTIMENT FOR THIS PROJECT.  I USED PUMPKIN PIE SATIN RIBBON TOPPED WITH 1/8 INCH BLACK RIBBON ON TOP.  I PUNCHED HOLES WITH MY CROP-A-DILE AND TIED A KNOT INSIDE WITH THE RIBBON TO MAKE THE HANDLES.  I USED GLUE DOTS TO KEEP THE TWO RIBBONS TOGETHER.

HERE IS THE SAME TREAT CARRIER IN A DIFFERENT DESIGNER PAPER.  THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE PAPER FROM LAST YEAR.  I STILL HAVE A FEW SHEETS LEFT THAT I AM HOARDING BECAUSE I CAN'T BEAR TO THINK IT WILL BE GONE FOREVER!!

THE INSIDE WHERE YOU PUT THE CANDY IS JUST A SIMPLE SKINNY BOX  SCORED AND THEN GLUED TO THE TWO LARGE CIRCLE SCALLOPS.

YOU CAN PUT THE RIBBON STRAPS THROUGH EACH OTHER LIKE ABOVE AND IT LOOKS SO CUTE, OR KEEP THEM SEPARATE AS YOU CARRY IT.  DO YOU HAVE A BIG SHOT YET?  IF YES, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DIE.  IF NO, WHY NOT?  IF I OFFERED IT TO YOU AT A DISCOUNT, WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED?

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THESE PROJECTS TODAY.

PPA111 entry

Hi Y'all,

I have a cute Christmas card for the Paper Pals Arts Challenge 111 this week.  I have been trying to keep abreast of the holidays and did most of my halloween last week, now I am working on my Christmas cards.

This stamps set is so cute and so versatile.  It is the GOT TREATS stamp set.(120627).  I love LOVE LOVE it.  I made this card rather clean and simple so the gingerbread man would stand out as the thing your eye goes to first.

I used last year's dsp called Jolly Holidays.  It is cherry cobbler and old olive as the main colors.  I used some fine glitter on the buttons of my little man, but used real glimmer brads for the accent up at the top of my card. The ribbon is striped old olive ribbon from the clearance rack.  I LOVE this ribbon and got several rolls so I am well stocked before it is all gone.

I also used the scalloped circle punch for the main image second layer, with just the circle punch, sponged on the edges, for my little man.

Isn't he cute?  I love gingerbread men/folks/people...what would be the politically correct name these days?  ha

Thanks for stopping by.  Won't you leave me a comment?  I love hearing your thoughts and look forward to seeing what everyone says.

Thanks!  Inky fingers y'all!

SARAH'S WORKSHOP

Workshops during Sale-a-bration are so MUCH FUN!!  I chose for this card the designer paper and buttons that you can get for FREE with a $50 order with me.  I used the Oh Sew Suite stamp set with the adorable measuring tape and the buttons card.  LOVE It!

I really enjoy the color combo of MELON MAMBO, DAFFODIL DELIGHT AND TANGERINE TANGO.  They are bright and cheery and go so well together.  We popped up the tape measurer on Stampin Dimensionals as well as the button card and the spool of thread.

Inside of card:  I used the saying from SWEET TREATS STAMP SET.  If you don't have this set yet - you MUST consider getting it.  I use it the most of any of my stamp sets!!

I demonstrated this simple Easter treat bag, filled it with a single serving of Skittles and gave it to my hostess:

I also demonstrated my BIG SHOT and showed them how to make fabric flowers with the FUN FLOWERS DIE and how it can cut through 8 layers of regular fabric.  It was so fun.  Oh, I demonstrated my NEW CROPADILE tool as I cut through all layers of this fabric flower and then inserted the brad center.  This is a heafy strong tool that is worth the cost for sure.

Thanks for looking and Thanks to Sarah and her workshop attendees for participating in the fun!!

Inky fingers and glittery skin to all!!

Sunday, Sunday, so good to me....

Sometimes an old song pops into my head from a long time ago.  The Mommas and the Pappas sang this one way back when I was in jr high school I think.

Anyways, thought I would post a cute treat holder I made earlier this week when my mojo was going strong.

This is the Big Shot Mini Milk Carton Die.  LOVE this die.  I use it for all holidays and special events.  It looks different every time I use it!!  I really have gotten my money's worth on this little die.  This one I made as a 2-carton treat in a little holder for valentines day.  I used Pretty in Pink cs, GOT TREATS stamp set, scrap of dsp of unknown origin, some super nova fine glitter on the heart, glimmer brads, and rich razzleberry cs and ribbon.  Here is another photo of them:

Filled it with sweathearts candy hearts for my workshop hostess.

SUO Challenge #10 - Welcome Baby

I LOVE my Big Shot and all the projects you can do with it.  I especially LOVE LOVE LOVE my mini milk carton die.  I can't tell you how many of these I have made, but it is up in the 200's with all the times I have offered it as a class or workshop!!

This sweet 'BABY STEPS' stamp set is one of my favorites - I think the Mommy and baby elephant are so cute.  I used subtles for the colors because I wanted it to be able to be used for either a boy or a girl congratulations.

I used different clips, brads, and punches at the top for closure.  The second stamp set I used was "GOT TREATS" for the directions to open on each mini carton.  I hand cut the holder they set in.  And I died the white taffeta ribbon with my Daffodil Delight ink.  I used multiple colors inking the "congratulations" tag at the top.  Thanks for looking.
p.s. The new mommy LOVED the gift filled with all sorts of yummy goodies.
