BLOG HOP DAY 1 ---I AM BATTY FOR HALLOWEEN

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE GLITTER QUEENS OCTOBER BLOG HOP - DAY ONE.  I AM SO GLAD YOU FOUND US AND I HOPE YOU FIND SOME INSPIRATION AS YOU HOP ALONG.

BEFORE I SHOW YOU MY CREATIONS, I WANT TO MENTION THAT YOU NEED TO READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM BECAUSE THERE IS BLOG CANDY AVAILABLE!!

I LOVE THE FALL SEASON AND I ESPECIALLY LOVE HALLOWEEN AND THE FUN PART OF IT.  I DO NOT LIKE THE BLOODY, ICKY PART THAT SOME FOCUS ON.  ICK INDEED.

BUT I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE FALL COLORS!!  THE ORANGES, BURNT REDS, GOLDS, ETC.  AWESOME.

MY FIRST PROJECT TO SHARE WITH YOU IS A BAT TREAT CONTAINER.  I LOVE THE OWL PUNCH AND THAT IS WHAT I USED TO CREATE MY BAT HANGING IN THE MOONLIGHT.

ISN'T THIS LITTLE GUY JUST ADORABLE??!!  I USED CRAFT INK SPONGED AROUND HIS BODY AND WINGS AND THE TOP OF THE BOX.  HIS WINGS ARE 2 OF HIS LITTLE VESTS FROM THE OWL PUNCH AND PART OF IT TUCKED BEHIND HIS BODY.

HERE HE IS IN A CLOSEUP SO YOU CAN SEE HIM VERY WELL.  HIS WHITE MOUTH WAS GOING TO BE WITH MY WHITE PEN, BUT IT WAS TRY.  SO I JUST WIGGLED AND CUT A SMALL PIECE OF WHISPER WHITE CARD STOCK AND BLUED IT ON.  HE IS HANGING ONTO THE BRANCH FROM THE BIRD PUNCH, AND I USED THE 1 3/8 CIRCLE PUNCH IN DAFFODIL DELIGHT AND THEN SPONGED CAJUN CRAZE AND TANGERINE TANGO AROUND THE CIRCLE FOR THE MOON.  S-P-O-O-K-Y AND FUN!!

WHY DOES IT SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY INSTEAD OF HAPPY HALLOWEEN??  WE HAVE A BIRTHDAY IN OUR FAMILY COMING UP AND I THOUGHT THIS WAS A CUTE WAY TO PRESENT A GIFT CARD IN THE BODY OF THE TREAT BOX.  HOWEVER, HAPPY HALLOWEEN DOES COME WITH THIS STAMP SET AS WELL, CALLED WACKY WISHES, A HOSTESS SET YOU CAN PURCHASE WITH YOUR HOSTESS DOLLARS WHEN YOU HOST A WORKSHOP IN YOUR HOME OR YOU ORDER AT LEAST $150 IN PRODUCT FROM ME.  IT IS A NICE SET.

CANDY CORN, CHOCOLATE PIECES LIKE M&Ms, REESES PIECES, OR MINI CHOCOLATE BARS CAN FIT IN THIS CUTE DECORATED BOX.  WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN IT IF IT WERE YOUR GIFT?

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

TODAY IS GOOD FRIDAY.  GETTING READY FOR EASTER CELEBRATION WITH MY FAMILY.

I MADE SOME GOODIES FOR A FEW FRIENDS THAT I PLAN TO BRING TO THEM TOMORROW.  LET ME SHARE THEM WITH YOU.  I MADE THEM WITH MY BIG SHOT AND THE  TWO TAGS DIE AS WELL AS THE BASKET AND BLOOMS DIE.

 I created the baskets in daffodil yellow, apricot appeal (retired), pear pizzazz and blushing bride.

 I attached the tags from the two tags die after I stamped on it HE IS RISEN and the Easter lily stamped image from the current Easter set.

 I used the blossoms from the same die as the basket on the second tag in from the right and attached it to the tag with a HAT PIN.  So cute~~

 Above is a close up of the tag with the Easter message for you to see better.

 I put some of that paper basket filler (can't remember what it is called!!  hate when that happens) and a goodie in the basket.

 You can see the hat pin on this tag with the die cut blooms that are attached with it to the tag.

 This one is my favorite - pear pizzazz and pretty in pink.  Love the striped ribbon I got on the clearance rack.  And the lillies are so pretty, aren't they?

 This glimmer pink ribbon is recycled from a store bought card from Valentines day.  I always try to reuse and recycle anything I can!!  Thought it worked perfectly here, don't you??

WHAT GOOD NEWS - HE IS RISEN.  EASTER BLESSINGS TO YOU AND HOPE YOU HAVE A LOVING TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

TWO CHALLENGES, TWO CARDS - FRIDAY MASHUP #20 AND STAMPING ROYALTY #59

HERE IS MY FIRST CARD FROM THE CUTE SUMMER SUITE STAMP SET FOR THE FRIDAY MASHUP CHALLENGE (http://fridaymashup.com/).  I HAD SO HOPED FOR THIS SET TO BE IN THIS CURRENT CATALOG.  MAYBE IT WILL BE IN NEXT YEARS?  ANYWAYS, I USED BUTTONS IN TANGERINE TANGO, MELON MAMBO AND DAFFODIL DELIGHT ON THE BUTTON CARD THAT WAS STAMPED FROM THE SET.  I MADE A TAPE MEASURER WITH YELLOW CARD STOCK AND THE STAMP, AND BROKE DOWN THE FIBERS SO I COULD MAKE IT BE UP AND DOWN ALONG THE CARD BY USING GLUE DOTS UNDERNEATH CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE TAPE.  I PUT A REAL NEEDLE IN THE SPOOL OF THREAD.

I USED TANGERINE TANGO CARD STOCK AND PRINTED PAPER FOR THE CARD ITSELF.  YELLOW SCALLOP OVAL BEHIND THE STAMPED SPOOL.  MELON MAMBE BEHIND THE BUTTON CARD. 

I LOVE BUTTONS!! 

MY STAMPING ROYALTY CHALLENGE (http://stampinroyalty.blogspot.com/) ENTRY IS THE FOLLOWING CARD:

I USED CAJUN CRAZE LAYER ON THE BASE.  ON THE I USED AN UNUSUAL TEXTURED WALL PAPER SAMPLE THAT SEEMS LIKE IT IS BAMBOO OR STRAW.  I LIKED THE TEXTURE AND THE COLORS MATCHED MY CARD.  I STAMPED MY ONE LARGE IMAGE USING MY MARKERS TO COLOR IT WITH OLD OLIVE, GARDEN GREEN, DAFFODIL DELIGHT, AND CAJUN CRAZE.  I LIKE HOW THE DIFFERENT COLORS ALL WENT SO WELL TOGETHER AND GAVE IT A MUCH MORE DECORATIVE FEEL.  I USED 3 BRADS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAMPED IMAGE IN THE ORANGE, GREEN AND YELLOW COLOR.

I FINISHED IT OFF WITH TWO RIBBONS TIED INTO A KNOT AND GLUED ONTO THE WALL PAPER SAMPLE ON THE LEFT.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND - THANKFUL FOR OUR COUNTRY

I LOVE ALL THE PATRIOTIC DECORATIONS EVERYWHERE THIS WEEKEND.  WE ARE SO BLESSED TO BE LIVING IN THIS SPECIAL COUNTRY WITH SO MANY WONDERFUL FREEDOMS. 

I CREATED A CUTE STAR SHAPED BUD VASE HOLDER (SAW THE IDEA ON A BLOG LAST WEEK AND DIDN'T WRITE DOWN WHOSE IT WAS.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE THE ONE WHOSE BLOG HAD THIS SO I CAN GIVE THE PROPER CREDIT)

I CHANGED IT A BIT BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE DECORATIVE PAPER IN STARS OR STRIPES.  I USED SMALL RED STRIPES OF CARD STOCK, AND A SMALL STAR STAMP IN PACIFIC POINT FOR THE STARS AT THE TOP.  WHAT DO YOU THINK??

YOU CAN SEE THE PATRIOTIC CARD I ALSO MADE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PHOTO.

I CRIMPED SOME BLUE AND RED CARD STOCK AND CUT IT VERY THIN FOR THE LOOK OF SPARKLERS COMING OUT OF THE TOP.  I AM GOING TO GET SOME RED, WHITE AND BLUE FLOWERS TOMORROW TO HAVE THEM FOR THIS WEEKEND CELEBRATION. STAMP SET: land of the free single stamp

TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS

OH HOW I LOVE SPRING - especially springtime in TEXAS.  The humidity is low and the weather is reasonably cool.  It is fabulous.  I have been working in my garden planting cilantro, tomatoes, tomatilloes, fennel (for the monarch butterflies) and some flowers like impatients and daisies.  Impatients should be my "signature" flower - because I SURE AM IMPATIENT!!  ha

Here is a fun card I tried after watching Valita's wonderful UTube videos on using punches unusually.  This tulip is made with mostly the OWL PUNCH which is then punched with the oval punch.  It was fun to make.  Please tell me what you think.  And for sure go to UTube to search Valita and watch her amazing videos on punches flowers.  She is Awesome!!

SARAH'S WORKSHOP

Workshops during Sale-a-bration are so MUCH FUN!!  I chose for this card the designer paper and buttons that you can get for FREE with a $50 order with me.  I used the Oh Sew Suite stamp set with the adorable measuring tape and the buttons card.  LOVE It! 

I really enjoy the color combo of MELON MAMBO, DAFFODIL DELIGHT AND TANGERINE TANGO.  They are bright and cheery and go so well together.  We popped up the tape measurer on Stampin Dimensionals as well as the button card and the spool of thread.

Inside of card:  I used the saying from SWEET TREATS STAMP SET.  If you don't have this set yet - you MUST consider getting it.  I use it the most of any of my stamp sets!!

I demonstrated this simple Easter treat bag, filled it with a single serving of Skittles and gave it to my hostess:

I also demonstrated my BIG SHOT and showed them how to make fabric flowers with the FUN FLOWERS DIE and how it can cut through 8 layers of regular fabric.  It was so fun.  Oh, I demonstrated my NEW CROPADILE tool as I cut through all layers of this fabric flower and then inserted the brad center.  This is a heafy strong tool that is worth the cost for sure.
