DOUBLE DUTCH FUN FOLD THANK YOU CARD

HEY BLOGGIES,

I made some more of my FAVORITE kind of fold cards - the DOUBLE DUTCH FUN FOLD.  At least that is what I call it!!  I made them as my THANK YOU card for all those who order from me this month (April).  AND I send the DIRECTIONS with the card so you can make them too!!

With a little stretch here and a flip there, here is my card:

 Showing you two different ones I made.  Not very different, but with the Moonlight DSP, the colors are a bit different on that patterned paper.

I have one closed and one open with the top flap closed down so you can see how these open.  The inside part is layered so we can either stamp a sentiment or write a message.  CUTENESS, right??!!

Here it is this time with the top flap open and the bottom "doors" closed so you can again see the whole schematics of this cute and fun folding card.

ANOTHER DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD CARD

I have another DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD CARD for you today.  This is such an easy card that packs a big WOW!!

I explained a bit more about this card on my previous post HERE.  I am loving this type of card because it is easy to make and packs a big WOW!

Here the two side panels are opened but the top is flipped back in the closed position.

Here the top is flipped up and you can see how the two side panels are just half the size of the card front.

This style card is my thank you card for everyone who orders from me during August.

AUGUST THANK YOU CARDS USING WORK OF ART IN A NEW WAY

Yesterday Tammy and I got together and created some fun flower cards with WORK OF ART stamp set.  This set does NOT have any flowers in it, but we used it in such a way that we created flowers.

 Aren't these cards so fun and colorful??  I used the new incolors Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss as well as Mossy Meadow.  I also used Strawberry Slush and Melon Mambo on the pink card.

 The WORK OF ART stamp set has a round circle  and I first used that for the middle of the flower.  Then Tammy remembered this stamen stamp in a retired set and we added that in two different colors to the middle.  We did petals that were stamped off twice, stamped off once and then full strength.  I also added a bit of champagne shimmer paint from the clearance rack.

I had trouble with this strawberry slush flower.  It seemed like all the petals were the same shade instead of being several different shades from stamping off.  That is why I added one more fussy cut layer and adhered that on top of the flower.

This one is my favorite.  I LOVE this LOST LAGOON color.And the shimmer paint shows up with a lot of fun shimmer in person.

SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY DESIGN TEAM MEMBER

I am so excited to announce that I have joined the SKETCH FRENZY FRIDAY design team.  These stampers are so very talented!!  I know I will learn so much from them in the way of design and color.

Here is this week's sketch:

Here is my first card for the sketch today:

 WHOOOO is thankful for you??!!  I enjoyed making this card with my lonely OWL PUNCH that I haven't used for almost a year!!  I used two different sized heart framelits to create the windown for Mr. Owl to peek through.  The DSP in the window opening is Sweet Sorbet and is in the Everyday Occasions catalog.

 Island Indigo and any of the yellows look so good together, don't you think?  Whether it be Daffodil Delight, So Saffron or Summer Starfruit, it is a good combo.  Since the paper also had Calypso Coral in it, I made sure one of the small heart punches included that color to bring in the pop of accent color.

The thank you at the bottom could just as easily been I LOVE YOU or HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.  YOU get to pick the sentiment for your card.

CUTE GIFT IDEA AND THANK YOU GIFT

TERRI WALKER, OUT IN "BLOGGIE LAND", POSTED THE IDEA OF PUTTING A NAIL FILE INTO OUR VERY TALL AND THIN CELLO BAGS.  I DECIDED TO USE THIS FOR MY AUGUST THANK YOU GIFTS AND HAD SO MUCH FUN MAKING THESE.

I COULD NOT FIND MY CAMERA AND WANTED TO GET A PHOTO QUICKLY SO I USED MY PHONE.  SORRY IT IS SUCH A BAD PHOTO.  I USED THE PACKING PAPER FROM PACKAGES IN THE MAIL AND CUT OUT THE FLOWER WITH MY BIG SHOT TO CREATE THE PRETTY FLOWER DECORATION AT THE TOP OF THIS LITTLE GOODIE BAG.  LOOK HOW NICELY THE NAIL FILE FITS INTO THE CELLO BAGGIE.  IT IS A SELF SEALING BAGGIE AT THE TOP. " EASY PEASY".

 I USED MY LITTLE LABELS FRAMELITS AND STAMP SET TO MAKE THE THANK YOU LABEL BANNER ON TOP OF THE FLOWER.  I USED A CORDUROY BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE.

A BEAUTIFUL CLOSEUP OF THE FLOWER.  YOU CAN SEE THE THANK YOU BANNER VERY WELL AND SEE THAT I ALSO SPONGED SOME INK ON THE FLOWER EDGES AND ON THE BUTTON.

SPICE CAKE - YUMMY

WHERE DID LAST WEEK GO?  I AM SO VERY SORRY I LEFT YOU HANGING WITH MY 3D FLOWER AND DID NOT SHOW YOU THE CARD I PUT IT ON.  I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER OR NOT, BUT I AM A PART TIME HALLMARK CARDS RETAIL MERCHANDISER FOR AREA GROCERY STORES.  THIS MEANS AROUND ANY HOLIDAY, I AM EXTREMELY BUSY BOTH BEFORE THE HOLIDAY, THEN ALSO AFTERWARDS GETTING DOWN THE HOLIDAY AND PUTTING UP SOMETHING NEW.

WELL LAST WEEK JUST WORE ME COMPLETELY OUT.  I AM TRYING TO RECOOP THIS WEEK AND SLOWLY IT IS COMING BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN.

HERE IS THE 3D FLOWER I SHOWED YOU LAST WEEKEND.  I MADE IT FROM THE PACKING PAPER THAT COMES IN THE BOX OF GOODIES FROM STAMPING UP. IT IS USED INSTEAD OF STYROFOAM PEANUTS.  I CUT OUT SEVERAL LAYERS FROM THE FANCY FLOWERS DIE AND MY BIG SHOT.  THEN I SCRUNCHED, SPONGED, MANIPULATED AND VOILA...A FLOWER:

I LOVE THE SHABBY LOOK IT HAS.  THE MIDDLE IS A CLEARANCE RACK CORDUROY CRUMB CAKE BUTTON BRAD, AND I SPONGED THAT ALSO.  HECK, I SPONGED ANYTHING THAT WAS HOLDING STILL IN FRONT OF ME!!

HERE IS THE CARD.  WHAT DO YOU THINK?  I LOVE THE COLOR COMBOS IN THE SPICE CAKE DSP SO THIS WORKED PERFECTLY FOR ME.  I STARTED WITH A CARD BASE OF CRUMB CAKE AND A LAYER OF BAJA BREEZE.

I PUNCHED A SCALLOP BORDER ON SOME EARLY ESPRESSO CARD STOCK AND PUT IT BEHIND A PIECE OF THE SPICE CAKE DSP.  YUMMY.  OH YEAH, I SPONGED WITH EARLY ESPRESSO BOTH THE CARD BASE AND THE BLUE LAYER.

I STAMPED A SIMPLE THANK YOU IN ESPRESSO ON CRUMB CAKE AND PUNCHED IT OUT WITH THE DECORATIVE LABEL PUNCH.  I LAYERED ESPRESSO PUNCHED OUT BEHIND AND TO THE LEFT OF IT AS WELL, TO LOOK LIKE A SHADOW.

I LOVE HOW THE EARLY ESPRESSO "SHADOW" PUNCH BEHIND THE SENTIMENT LOOKS, DON'T YOU?  IT TIES IN BEAUTIFULLY WITH THE SCALLOP BORDER PUNCH ON THE LEFT OF THE CARD AS WELL.

THIS IS WITHOUT MY FLASH TO HELP SEE ALL THE SPONGING, ETC. ON THE FLOWER.

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS CARD I DESIGNED.  WON'T YOU TAKE JUST A QUICK MOMENT AND LEAVE ME A COMMENT PLEASE?
